may Allah make us amongst the family of the qur’ān

ps: I highly suggest reading the translation of the verses recited by the sheikh here (Surah dhāriyāt, 16-21). such a beautiful description Allah gives of those who were good in this world. may Allah make us from amongst the muhsinīn.

autumn is amongst us, alhamdulillah🍂⭐️
-
-
and in the changing of seasons,
I see myself,
wilting, fading
it is a season of shedding
of pausing and reflecting
and of recognizing that if the trees
can lose thousands of leaves every year
and grow them again and again and again,
I, too, when I fall,
can stand up again and again and again.

ep22: a cozy gaming night 🙂‍↕️👾

the game in question: stardew valley!

i think this is my ultimate fall comfort game. I actually only play it in the fall lol… it’s been a while since i logged back in! I’ve still got to develop my land and my farm haha. and coincidentally, it’s also fall in my map 🙈🧸🍂

q: have you ever played stardew valley? by @sumiov

how can you turn a regular, daily, boring action into an act of worship?

the answer is one word: intentions (an-niyyah). there’s a reason why the Hadith of intentions is always the first Hadith we learn. it is the foundation for everything.

ep15: my matcha of the day 🍵

q: matcha or coffee?

honestly, as much as I’ve been making coffee content for this series… I’m a matcha girl at heart. I have to admit it 🥲 and this drink was SO yummy. Alhamdulillah. I am super thankful. Super, super thankful to have this blessing in my life, and be able to make matcha and coffee whenever I wish.

ep13: study Arabic with me through bayn yadayk (بين يديك: Arabic between your hands).

q: do you speak Arabic?

so this may come as a shock to some of you, as a lot of you here are from arab-speaking countries, but I do not speak Arabic 🥲 or at least, شوي شوي. I’ve been making a real effort this year to study it alongside my masjid friends, as we hope to understand and connect with the Quran more. May Allah make it easy for all of us who strive to learn the words of Allah in the language of our most Beloved🙂‍↕️🤎🩷
