Building a great product is only 20% of the game. The other 80%? Distribution.Think about it.
We live in a market where there are already 50 other players doing exactly what you do.
You can’t win just by having a slightly better feature.

You win by being visible. If you don't talk about what you are building, share your wins, and document your mistakes, someone with a completely average product is going to beat you simply because they know how to grab attention.Same product. Different distribution.

Stop building in silence. Start talking about your business.

What are you building right now? Let me know in the comments. 👇

Giving your customers more options can actually hurt your sales.

A famous psychology study tested this with two jam-tasting booths.

One had 24 flavors.
The other had just 6.

The 24-flavor booth attracted more people.

But the 6-flavor booth sold 10x more jam.

That's the Paradox of Choice.

When people have too many options, choosing becomes harder. And instead of making the "perfect" choice, they may simply walk away.

This matters for brands too.

Website Navigation: Don't show 15 categories when 3–4 clear ones can do the job.

Product Lines: Don't make customers choose between small, confusing variations.

Landing Pages: Give people one clear CTA instead of multiple competing actions.

More choice doesn't always create more sales.

Sometimes, making the decision easier is what actually gets people to buy.

Comments, How many options are you currently giving your customers?

If I ran GIVA's marketing, I wouldn't have pulled that ad. Here's what I'd have said instead.

Agree or disagree — say it in the comments. 👇

Being good is not always enough.
In business, there are always competitors offering something similar.
So the real question is:
Why should customers remember YOU?
The brands that win are not always the best.
They are the ones that stand out, create a feeling, and stay in people’s minds.
That’s the idea behind Purple Cow —
don’t just be another option. Be the memorable one.
What makes your brand different? 👇

Virat Kohli has more than 270 million followers.

MS Dhoni is one of India's biggest sports icons.

Yet Rolex chose Roger Federer.

Why?

Because luxury brands don't just look for the biggest audience.

They look for the right audience.

Tennis, golf, and Formula 1 may have smaller audiences than cricket, but they attract people with higher purchasing power.

And that's the real business lesson.

In marketing, getting attention is important.

Getting attention from the right people is even more valuable.

What do you think?

Would you choose a bigger audience or the right audience?

Meta didn't just invest $900 million in CRED.

It also chose Kunal Shah to lead WhatsApp globally.

At first, this looks like a big business move.

But when you look deeper, it reveals something much more interesting.

Meta wants WhatsApp to become more than a messaging app.

It wants payments, commerce, business, and AI all inside one platform.

And India is one of WhatsApp's most important markets.

That's why Meta chose Kunal Shah.

Not just because he built FreeCharge and CRED.

But because he spent years understanding how consumers think, spend money, build trust, and form habits.

Kunal Shah once said:

"The biggest businesses are not built by understanding products better.

They're built by understanding human behavior better."

Maybe that's exactly what Meta is betting on.

Because in today's world, understanding customers may be more valuable than building products.

What do you think Meta valued more?

The companies Kunal Shah built...

Or what he learned while building them?

Selena Gomez's Rare Beauty is now available on Nykaa.

And I think this is a great example of how smart brands grow.

Think about it.

Rare Beauty already has a strong global brand.

Nykaa already has millions of beauty customers in India.

So instead of spending years building their own distribution in India, Rare Beauty can use Nykaa's reach.

And instead of creating a beauty brand from scratch, Nykaa can bring one of the world's most popular beauty brands to its customers.

It's a win-win.

One brand brings attention.

The other brings distribution.

And that's something many businesses miss.

Sometimes growth doesn't come from building everything yourself.

It comes from partnering with someone who already has what you need.

Virat Kohli rejected a ₹300 crore offer from Puma and decided to bet on One8 instead.

Now, with Agilitas Sports, Mochiko's manufacturing power, and a vision to go global, One8 could become one of India's biggest sneaker brands.

And on June 21, Virat is officially launching his first signature shoe under One8.

But can it really compete with Adidas and Puma?

Everyone in quick commerce is fighting to be faster.

But what if speed is no longer the real differentiator?

Amazon's new "Fast Now, Fayda Now" campaign isn't just about fast delivery. It's about owning a frustration that millions of consumers already feel — hidden charges at checkout.

And that's what makes this campaign interesting.

Sometimes the biggest opportunity isn't building a better product.

It's solving a problem that everyone feels but nobody is talking about.

Do you think Amazon can disrupt Blinkit and Zepto with this positioning?

This Hocco Ice Cream ad is getting a lot of attention… and at first, it looks completely random.

A man is licking different objects like balloons, shoes, soap, and even his kid's marks card… as if everything around him could secretly be ice cream.

But that's exactly why the ad works.

See, over the last few years, Hocco has built a reputation for making ice creams that don't look like normal ice cream.

Last year, they launched a mango-shaped ice cream that looked almost exactly like a real mango.

And this year, they continued the same idea with a lemon-shaped ice cream that looks just like a real lemon.

The interesting part is that every new launch keeps reinforcing the same message — with Hocco, what you see isn't always what you expect.

And that's the insight behind this ad.

The ad seems to suggest that the character becomes so influenced by Hocco's unusual ice creams that he starts imagining everything around him as ice cream.

Now obviously, nobody is actually going to lick a balloon on the street.

But the reason this ad feels funny is because the madness comes from a real brand truth.

Hocco has built a brand around surprise and the unexpected.

And that's smart marketing.

Because our brains don't remember normal things. We remember things that surprise us, confuse us, or break our expectations.

A lazy ad would simply say, “Our ice cream is delicious.”

A clever ad takes the most unique thing about the product and turns it into something memorable.

That's exactly what Hocco has done here.

They're not just selling ice cream.

They're building memory.

What do you think?
