One year ago I danced with my crutches for the first time. I didn’t know back then what I know now. I didn’t know that repeatedly pushing through my crashes was causing a baseline decline. I didn’t know that endometriosis was ravaging my insides. And while a tiny part of me misses the not knowing, I’m so grateful to be on a path towards treatment that I’ve needed for a loooong time. Disability can happen to anyone- if it happens to you, I hope ya find a soft place to land too🫶🏻 #pots #eds #mecfs #mcas #endo by @summahope
PT wiggles and a neck spasm. I always speed up so you don’t get bored of how slow I actually have to move. 🤪 This week’s 5 minutes of improv brought to you by low dose naltrexone. #mecfs #pots #eds #mcas by @summahope

I haven’t been dancing much… or really at all lately. After this I had to lie down with my feet up. I’m trying to get used to all of my new diagnoses and how they affect me- POTS, EDS and MCAS have been a real big pain in my butt. Today I tried to dance a little to get back in my body, and instead of fighting with the pain, nausea, tachycardia, and vertigo, I paid attention. The symptoms didn’t go away, but I became present enough to adjust and make them less angry. Funny how things become less of an emergency when they’re actually paid attention to. by @summahope
