I’d choose being Filipino in every lifetime. 🇵🇭 Huge thank you to @pieceofphilippines for letting me be a part of this beautiful celebration of Filipino culture and music.

To everyone who came out to support: THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart 💛 Seeing so many familiar faces (from the Meet Cuties fam, to fellow Gauchos, to my dear loved ones and childhood friends) truly meant the world to me.

Thank you for letting me share my original music… for vibin’ and even twerkin’ (Isaias 🤣).

This was my first live performance since moving back home to LA and it most definitely won’t be my last 😉 My heart is full 🌻 Maraming Salamat 💛

Nobody talks about this toxic habit in our community… but we should.

🦀 Crab Mentality 🦀

Here’s the truth:
Someone else’s small mindset doesn’t have to shrink your dreams.

We can honor our culture and outgrow the habits that hold us back.
Cheer louder. Support bigger. Move different.

Let’s be the generation that
🌻supports out loud
🌻celebrates wins
🌻 opens doors instead of closing them

real community looks like:
✨ collaboration over competition
✨ support without jealousy
✨ community without comparison

We don’t have to tear each other down to rise.
There’s room for all of us at the top. 🇵🇭

SAVE THIS & send to a friend who needs to learn the Todo Todo Dance! 🇵🇭💃

It’s Filipino American History Month, and I’m tired of looking confused every time this song comes on at a party. It’s time to make our titas and Lola’s proud. 🤝

❗️I broke this down into three different parts. Each part will begin with your left foot.

Here’s the breakdown:
Part 1: Cha cha to the left, back step. Cha cha to the right, back step.
Part 2: Cha cha with your left foot and turn over your right shoulder then back step. Then cha cha with your right foot, turn over your left shoulder then back step.
Part 3: Cha cha to the left, cha cha to the right. Grapevine to the left and turn it around.

THEN DO IT AGAIN TO THE BACK AND REPEAT!! ✨

Whether you’re Filipino or not, this dance is for everyone so tag your dance buddy, learn the steps, and let’s move together! 💛💙❤️

What should we dance next?

if there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s that you can’t feel sad when you’re taking a bite of a @yunomihandroll 🍣

Their negi toro and yunomi special roll really bring me back to life every time 🥹💛 #handroll #japanesefood by @summerislive_

Save this for your trip to Chicago 🔖

The Harold Washington Library is a work of art. What a gift to have free knowledge and resources in such a massive, incredible space! The library stands 10 stories tall and is filled with books, music, a Maker Lab, computers, and the Winter Garden, a glass domed garden that feels straight out of my book lover’s dream. Definitely add this to your list!

Can you imagine journaling and reading here? 🥹 solo tripping here healed me 💛

Game night with Xaden? 🖤⚡️ SIGN ME UP.

@monopolygameofficial just released a special edition Fourth Wing Monopoly game, and it might be one the most beautiful board games ever created. The board box looks like a book on your shelf and has beautiful black and gold details all over aaaaaand a faux sprayed edge.

You’ll choose from 7 different colored dragons including Xaden’s Blue Daggertail (Sgaeyl), Violet’s Black Morningstartail (Tairn) + Golden Feathertail (Andarna), Red Swordtail, Brown Swordtail, Green Clubtail, and Orange Scorpiontail.

They also released a #monopolydeal version and I can’t wait to bring it to book club. Eternally grateful @rebeccayarros created this series for us to enjoy and I am counting down the days until Threshing Day ⚡️

Until then… choose your dragon 😏 #fourthwing @redtowerbooks #bookmerch by @summerislive_
