1 year of being Joseph’s mom. This sweet, inquisitive, playful, smart, careful, HUNGRY, joyful, silly little man has changed every fiber of who I am…quite literally from the inside out!

Decided to do something different and do a burger smash session instead of a cake smash because this man loves to eat!! 🍔🍟

Every part of Joseph is an extravagant gift from God— his red hair with wispy curls?? His giant brown eyes and long lashes! His loud raspy voice with lots of grunts and giggles. His insane strength and height that had him wearing 2T & 3T as early as 10 months. His determination to figure out a problem. His love of people and FOMO when he has to sleep (wonder where he gets that??) His love of music and the way he tries to sing along. His silly faces and sloppy kisses. I could go on and on, as probably every parent could. Some days I just can’t fathom the goodness of God in giving us this sweet boy.

Becoming a mother is a complete emptying of self. It is allowing your body and mind to be broken, then being put back together in pieces as you are made new. It is getting to know a different version of yourself that you never knew could exist. It’s CRAZY! It’s the BEST!

Happy Birthday JW! You’ve changed us for the better!

Won’t be my last time in Montana for sure! 🦬

Becca & Matt have a peaceful, quiet love that puts others first, sacrifices whatever is needed for the other, and a type of love that doesn’t demand anything of anyone else.

Being flown to Montana to photograph a wedding of someone I’ve never met is a level of trust that I’m humbled by. @thecabinsatblacktail was a PERFECT peaceful setting for these love birds!

I’ll be thinking about this one for quite a while!

There’s a huge conversation happening right now about showing kids faces online. I’m here to tell you— you do you boo boo! Want to hide faces? Let’s do it. I love the challenge! You don’t mind showing off your beautiful family? LETS DO IT!

In a world where absolutely EVERYTHING is nuanced and over complicated, I’m gonna let parents make this decision for themselves. There’s never any judgement from me either way! I love sharing your images, however you prefer!

Another year making memories with this crew!

This family actually gifted me the plate we will use every year for Joseph’s birthday AND his first pair of swim trunks. He was so chunky that he wore them approximately one time, but it’s the memory that counts!

Next year we will have to have some splash time with Joseph AFTER photos since he’ll be old enough to play more. I’m already looking forward to it ☺️ taken in Fort Fisher by @summerlambertphoto

Airlie Gardens morning with these absolute sweeties on the morning of their wedding day! YES PLEASE!! Sign me up for more of this!

It was so sweet to have intentional time to take photos and get all the jitters out of the way…then go home and REST before the ceremony and party later. This might be my new favorite wedding timeline ☺️

10 years with this fam 🥹 It’s actually an indescribable honor to photograph families year after year and this crew might take the cake! Swipe to see one from each year and tell me your fave year 🎉 I’m partial to year 2 and 7!

The Padgett’s are the best of the best. Friends that have become family. They have encouraged us in parenthood more than I ever saw coming. Listening ears all hours of the day, generous with their time and home, and not to mention the incredible thrift finds for lil Joseph! We love them so much that we’re headed to the 2028 Olympics together!! YEEHAW!

sometimes a theme finds itself…

I started the day with Rachael & Josh by thinking “let’s toss these sneakers in the air for a little bit of a different detail shot.” LITTLE DID I KNOW, people and things being thrown in the air would be a story through the day!

a moment for black & white 🖤

I honestly can’t remember the first time I met Ally, but we’ve been all smiles and giggles since the beginning. UNCW was such a formative time and having friends that you knew were in your corner, even if you weren’t always in the same friends circle really means a lot!

I saw her name on our wedding reception guest book (it’s a map hanging on our wall) and just smiled thinking about how we have little ones not far from each other now! What a gift! @ilm.dryneedling is your go-to for muscle recovery, headache relief, and all things dry needling! It’s so fun to see your friends chase their dreams and use their expertise to help others!
I loved being able to take some website & branding photos for Dr. Nicole and giggle our way through alllll the things!
I can speak first hand how dry needling helped me recover post-partum, releasing really tough tension in my back and shoulders! I’ve seen how it’s improved athletic performance for friends, and also relieve really tough migraines and headaches. Her concierge dry needling biz is going to be an amazing asset alongside the work she’s already doing!
