Toketee Falls 🌲💦

Toketee means “pretty” in Chinook… and I think that pretty much says it all. ✨

Sometimes nature takes thousands of years to create something that only takes a moment to leave you speechless. 🤍

The North Umpqua River slowly carved through the volcanic rock over thousands of years, creating this beautiful canyon and two-tiered waterfall. Toketee Falls drops 40 feet over a hidden ledge, then plunges another 80 feet, for a total drop of about 120 feet.

Somewhere in between the forest 🌳 and the ocean 🌊

One of those places that stops you in your tracks… walking out of the forest to miles and miles of sand dunes with the ocean in the distance.

I’ll never forget this spot. 🤍

You don’t need another vision board.

This full moon isn’t asking you what you want.
It’s asking you what you already know you’re done carrying.

The version of you you’ve outgrown.
The pattern you keep finding yourself back in.
The door you keep leaving cracked open.
The thing you keep asking the Universe to remove while still holding onto it.

Maybe this isn’t about manifesting something new.
Maybe it’s about finally letting go of what you already know isn’t meant to come with you.

Burn the f*n bridge. 🔥🌕

Not out of anger.
Not to prove a point.

Just because you’re ready to stop going back to the same place and expecting it to feel different.

Some things don’t need another chance. They need closure.

Living out my childhood Ferngully🧚🏼experience. If you’ve seen the movie you knoooo.
I tried to do this hike two years ago when we were up in this area and the road closed the exact day I got there. I was SO bummed… so finally making it here felt extra special.

There is truly nowhere like this. The canyon walls rise nearly 50 feet and are completely covered in lush ferns and moss, creating this wild prehistoric-looking tunnel that doesn’t even feel real.

And yes… this is also where parts of Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park were filmed. 🦖🌿 Remember the guy getting eaten behind the tree stump, with the blood running through the water? That scene was filmed here.

Getting there is part of the adventure — about 5 miles of dirt road, roughly 30 minutes, with multiple river crossings before you even reach the trailhead. And the journey is completely worth it. You can also take a longer trail to get here if you don’t want to drive. But we heard the elk were in the beach area so we wanted to drive out. Yes you drive through the forest then get to the beach to go back into the forest.

Well that was a fun two days 🥂✨
Dinner and Diana Ross to kick things off, then the most beautiful night celebrating Michael & Dylan 🤍

Now back to bikinis, camping clothes and life on the road 🏕️👙⛰️✌🏽

Avila Beach 🌊☀️ One of our FAVORITE stops whenever we’re heading up north!

A few of our must-dos:
♨️ Soak in the hot springs
🥒 Avila Valley Barn — quite possibly the BEST farmhouse pickles ever + don’t skip the BBQ chicken sandwich 🤤 and insane artichokes!
🦀 Fresh seafood on the pier at Mersea
🐐 Land + sea animals everywhere — so many little friends to see & pet 🐾🦭
We also got lucky with a truck show on Logan’s b-day!

Goat wrangling day. 🐐💛
We moved the herd!
Every single time they come through, I fall in love all over again.
I swear I want to stop and feed every single one, give them scratches, and tell them how beautiful they are. 😂
My empathy for animals goes beyond words. They aren’t “just animals” to me—they’re little souls with their own personalities, curiosity, and hearts. I feel so lucky to spend even a small moment sharing space with them. by @summermorgan333
