The South Ridge of the Index offers everything that makes alpine climbing so special: solid granite, exposed moves, breathtaking views, and the perfect balance between focus and enjoyment.

With the Mont Blanc massif surrounding every pitch, it’s a reminder of why we keep coming back to the mountains not to conquer them, but to learn from them.

The Cosmiques Ridge is one of those iconic alpine climbs where every step is a balance of enjoyment, focus, and commitment. Moving along this elegant line in the heart of the Mont Blanc massif is a constant reminder of how spectacular and demanding the mountains can be.

Beyond the climb itself, it’s an experience that teaches humility. In the mountains, nothing is ever guaranteed. Every ascent is a lesson, and every summit is a privilege.

There are ridges that leave a lasting impression through their beauty, and others that also remind us that the mountains leave no room for error.

The Spitzkoepfe Ridge is a route that is as beautiful as it is demanding. Every step requires commitment, focus, and deep humility in the face of such an exceptional environment.

Today, my thoughts are with the PGHM rescuer who lost his life here during a training exercise. A man whose mission was to save others, right to the very end of his commitment.

In the mountains, it’s easy to admire the summits. It’s just as important to never forget those who risk their lives to come to the aid of others.

This climb is dedicated to his memory. 🕊️

The mountains are magnificent, but they demand respect.
