Melvsh Material Photoshoot for the “ It’s Me “ Rugby Polo 🇵🇷 A record electric rate went into effect in Puerto Rico as persistent outages continue to happen and the island’s power infrastructure continues to struggle. Roughly 60% to 65% of the island’s treated water is lost before reaching homes due to aging pipelines, unrepaired leaks, and un-dredged reservoirs dating back decades of underinvestment and the aftermath of hurricanes. The people of Puerto Rico remain frustrated over utility hikes, water rationing, and infrastructure failures which has been a major issue in Puerto Rico for over 6 months! An Island surrounded by water experiencing a water shortage crisis simply does not sit right with me. Melvsh Material would like to spread as much awareness to this crisis currently going on in Puerto Rico. We aren’t a big brand that can make a huge change, but what we can do is use our voice to spread as much awareness as possible and get Puerto Rico the necessities and help it deserves! taken in Puerto Rico by @summonlu

@melvshmaterial started off as just a brand and a passion for creating a different type of style of streetwear, the “ It’s Me “ shirts weren’t even part of my collection until I seen what was going on in Puerto Rico. This made me a lot more aware of where I come from and tap into my roots and embrace who I truly am… BORICUA !!! I went to Puerto Rico to do a photoshoot and it didn’t necessarily go as planned but the connections and relationships that was created while out there made up for all of that! The people I met and the environment I was in made me want to continue pursuing the path I’m on and grow as much as possible, so SHOP @ melvshmaterial.com for the Puerto Rico inspired “ It’s Me “ rugby polo and stay tuned for the Puerto Rico collection I’ll be working on to continue to spread awareness and love from where my people come from PUERTO RICOOO !!! 🇵🇷 🐸 🔥#puertorico #clothingbrand #fashion taken in Puerto Rico by @summonlu
