We just leveled up. Sumsub is turning into trust infrastructure—an AI-powered system built for compliance operations at scale, connecting identity and business verification, fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, and risk workflows into one operation.

Every signal flows into one system, so decisions get made with full context, not in silos: one customer view, one case, one audit trail.

It scales as you scale: new market, new regulatory requirement, new product line, you configure, you don’t re-integrate. And it keeps working after onboarding, because trust isn’t a moment, it’s a state that keeps changing.

Lower TCO. Faster alert triage and audit prep. Fewer AML violations and fraud attempts slipping through the gaps. That’s what trust infrastructure means at scale. by @sumsubcom

Five years is a long time for “just an integration.” 👀

We started working with Crassula around KYC and KYB. Since then, that setup has grown into a much closer partnership: exploring new use cases, solving client challenges together, sharing expertise and expanding into new markets side by side.

And somewhere along the way, it stopped feeling like “two companies working together” and started feeling like one team getting things done. by @sumsubcom

Sometimes the biggest red flags don’t feel like red flags at all.

They feel like chemistry. Like being understood. Like finally meeting someone who just gets you.

That’s exactly what makes trust so powerful, and why con artists are so good at exploiting it.

In Episode 3 of Trust Forward, we look at the psychology of the con: how manipulators build trust, why we’re so bad at spotting lies, and why the best fraudsters are often better listeners than talkers.

This one sounds made up. It isn’t.

In late September, New Zealand’s National Cyber Security Centre published a real case involving a North Korean IT contractor who used a false identity, a local address and a local person to handle the company laptop on his behalf.

So yes, apparently “remote work” can now mean very remote.

The case is a good reminder that workforce verification can’t stop at onboarding. Identity, liveness, device and risk signals all matter after access is granted too. by @sumsubcom

What if the person proving they’re real… is part of the scam?

Anthropic recently uncovered a network of 20+ dating apps where AI personas handled the conversations, while real gig workers stepped in for video calls and social-media follow-backs.

On the other side, someone may be sharing personal details, getting emotionally invested, moving the conversation off-platform, or making decisions based on trust that was manufactured from the start.

That’s what makes this kind of fraud so invasive: it exploits the exact moment someone decides, “Okay, maybe I can trust this person.”

Users shouldn’t have to investigate every match themselves. Keeping them safe is the platform’s responsibility.

Dating platforms need stronger identity checks, liveness, device intelligence, behavioral signals, and continuous monitoring working together.

Build trust into the platform before users are asked to risk theirs. taken in London, United Kingdom by @sumsubcom

The Travel Rule sounds simple until you have to make it work across different protocols, jurisdictions and wallet types.

For VALR, Sumsub helps automate much of that day-to-day compliance workflow, including counterparty identification, sanctions screening, wallet risk signals and transaction monitoring.

As Yurika Pistorius, Chief Compliance Officer at VALR, puts it: “Understanding and managing the risk at VALR is critical, and Sumsub supports us in ensuring risk management.” by @sumsubcom

Why do we believe some people more than others?

We like to think we judge ideas by the evidence. In reality, a title, confidence, reputation, the right connections, even the way someone looks can influence who gets believed before the evidence gets a chance.

In Episode 2 of Trust Forward, @maryannochota explores who gets to be seen as an authority, why some voices are trusted more than others, and what happens when reputation starts doing the work that evidence should be doing.
