Ich halte es mit Wilhelm Busch:

„Ich bin Pessimist für die Gegenwart,
aber Optimist für die Zukunft.“

I agreed with Wilhelm Busch:
“I am a pessimist about the present,
but an optimist about the future.”

Fakten:

Jede einzelne Blüte öffnet sich morgens und hält in der Regel nur einen einzigen Tag.
Die Hauptblütezeit eines ganzen Mohnfeldes dauert meist 1 bis 3 Wochen.

Abendlicht ...

Das Abendlicht, so sanft und warm,
nimmt sanft den Tag in seinen Arm.
Die Schatten lang, die Farben weich,
der Himmel wird zum Sternenreich.
Es schließt der Tag die Pforten leise,
und schickt die Träume auf die Reise.

The evening light, so soft and warm,
gently takes the day in its arms.
Shadows stretch long, the colors grow soft, the sky turns into a realm of stars.
The day quietly closes its gates,
and sends dreams on their journey.
