Highlights from the past year!
I’m continually surprised and grateful for the connections and growth that come my way through this micro biz. Fitting it all in, especially in the whirlwind of being home with a toddler, feels like a wild ride some days. But it’s so fun and has become sort of an anchor within the whirlwind too. Looking back at all the experiences I’ve had from meeting new people and seeing new places has me especially excited for the year ahead.

Big big thanks to everyone that has supported me this year, whether hosting me for a workshop, taking a class, buying a broom, or just following along. I feel like I’m bursting at the seams with creative ideas and can’t wait to share them in the coming year. by @sunbunnystudio

First Maker Spotlight: Sun Bunny Studio @sunbunnystudio. We are thrilled to carry Sarah’s beautiful hand woven brooms and brushes! Based in Shoreline, WA, Sarah begins each broom with a found fallen tree branch, trims and shapes it, then attaches and weaves in the broomcorn. October classes are live! ✨ Whew, it’s been a wild ride to get to this point and we’ve got more ideas brewing for the rest of the year!

Join @sunbunnystudio for seasonally appropriate hand broom making magic 🧹 , @junkmail_jewelry for chainmail keychains ⛓️‍💥 , @amelesstattoos for pop up book sorcery 📖 , @aikrochet for crochet basics 🧶 , and sewing classes taught by @afterapture 🪡 for 2 basic classes and a deep dive into quilting series! We’ll have our first Yarn Club, come by for sewing/crochet circle and get help with your projects from @aikrochet and @fruityfibers ❤️

R u a witch? Or do you just need a broom? Do you maybe just wanna get in the fall spirit with some friends? If any of these apply to you - or if other things that I haven't even thought of yet also apply to you - come make brooms with us!

The talented and delightful Sarah Benson of @SunBunnyStudio will be teaching us all how to make gorgeous hand brooms - TWO OF THEM. You can keep one - and give one to a fellow witchy babe. I might give one to my parking witch as she has been EVER SO HELPFUL when I sing my little song to her. I won't sing it for you - but here's the words:

Parking witch. Parking witch.
You are my parking witch.
You help me park in a place for me.
A place that nobody else can see.
You're my (here it gets really high and weird vibrato) parking wi-I-I-itch. (Now whispers) and I love you.

There you go. You can use that to summon your very own parking witch to help you with especially tricky parking in the city. I mean, we park at the fucking Market downtown. SHE IS GOOD.
Anyway. Come make brooms with us. It'll be fun. The studio is in Pioneer Square - just one block from the light rail station so maybe you don't even need a parking witch at all. Don't tell her though. It would hurt her feelings. And then who knows what would happen.
I gotta go. But yeah. Come make brooms. September 17th. It's a Thursday night. C'mon.
