Lost Angels #6, Cool Cuts’ sixth installment of original one-act plays @elysiantheater on Friday, October 24th at 7:30pm - featuring live interstitial tracks by moody and commanding Shoegaze act @suncolony

Beckoning their listener through fields of grey mid 80’s gloom to the illuminated shores of their native Los Angeles, Sun Colony and their finely unrefined reverberated palette of sound guide fellow escapists and shoegazing surrealists through a microclimate of post punk nostalgia and an everbrite future.

Citing influence of The Cure and Echo & The Bunnymen, Sun Colony gently narrate beautiful, lush Shoegaze drenched crescendos via their thorough understanding of the genre from legends Slowdive (who they have opened for on their us tour) to The Verve to Cocteau Twins. With an acknowledgement of the past under their belts, Sun Colony leans more to the future as this debut act releases their first EP 12” Clandestine Vignette

Film from a night out with @suncolony and @locust_mvh at @zebulonla for their album release show.

…if you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing Sun Colony live, I’ll explain it to you as directly as I can; you absolutely are going to want to have health insurance because you will never hear the same again…with that being said, the ruptured ear drums are 100% a fair trade for the pure ecstasy you feel from the reverb and fuzz vibrating your chest like a Union Pacific Railroad car. Congrats on the new record gentlemen…and thank you for the steady stream of good music always.
