The last of the three pencil drawings. I began these during a war to keep calm, remembering what my father told me; to think of the beauty in the world when I am scared. 🖤🌸

When things get too much my father always told me to think of beautiful things like fields of flowers. I also do pencil drawing to be calm, it works for me 🖤

I just love the textures and using different blacks to get different results. This is a work in progress and already it’s taking a new route. The egg shells worked beautifully, painstakingly placed. 🖤🖤

Haven’t posted in a while, so here we are, I’ve been working on some sculptural pieces. All in different types of back. I’ve used canvas here to mould onto the face and stretched canvas keeping it intact within the framework. My signature butterflies kiss the hardened canvas, these are going to be sewn. Lots more textures to come. WIP

When my father said, when times get hard think of flowers, that is what I am doing. Something therapeutic about pencil drawing 🖤

I spent the last weeks listening and waiting for the sounds of missiles, jets, alarms any sound basically, and it frightened me. I tried to think of beauty in this world and what perfection other than nature. My head was full of flowers, they make no noise. Nature and nurturing is beautiful, simple and gives me hope. Here is to peace within this region ☮️🕊️❤️🇦🇪🌸
