Filming this felt serendipitous. If you look closely, there’s a couple embracing in the background at just the right moment. A beautiful, unplanned ode to yearning for someone you love. 🪷

So grateful to create with such talented souls. Thank you, @krishnarajviolin for the violin parts and helping me with the recording, Shaurya Khandelwal for the tabla, and Rhea Sasi @rheasasimusic for directing and bringing this vision to life. My heart is so full. 🤍

I think my least favourite kinda people are those who think having flowers around is ridiculous because “they’ll wilt anyway.”
Maybe that’s precisely why I love them.

There’s something beautiful about choosing to bring home something you know won’t last.
About letting beauty exist without demanding permanence from it.

Last night, while working through my current inspirations, I realised how deeply these flowers have found their way into my art.

I’ve been recreating them without even realising it. Finding little ways to preserve what was always meant to be temporary.
So I guess I did find a way to make them not wilt. 🌹 by @sunethraeaswaran

@rheasasimusic and I teleported ourselves to Nepal a few days ago to bring in my birthday, and it somehow managed to surpass our already high expectations. It left us humbled in more ways than one.🐒

Kathmandu welcomed us with the whimsy of Thamel, the quiet refuge of the Garden of Dreams, and the delightful problem of wanting to try every variation of a Newari and Thakali thali despite knowing time wasn’t on our side.

This trip felt like the loveliest teaser to a film we’ll spend years returning to. Rhea and I already know we’ll be back. 🐣

Until then, we’ll be sharing little fragments of a place that gave us so much joy, all while oscillating between gratitude for where we were and rage over everything unfolding back home. A very Gen Z contradiction✈️🦀🌂 by @sunethraeaswaran

Home. Belonging. Creativity. Emotional safety.
This year questioned them all.
Love, warmth and kindness never did.
A year older.
A heart full of gratitude, now more than ever🤍

And so it happened. The moment I dreaded most.
And now that it has, I find myself unable to feel the full gravity of it. Perhaps because fear had rehearsed the loss long before life did, making it seem larger than even death itself.
Last morning, I sat beside your body, except this time it had let go of its soul.

The soul that always told me it was intertwined with mine. It never sounded poetic when you said it. It sounded true.

Your presence in my life was as much a source of strength for me as mine was for you. We carried each other through the years so naturally that I never imagined one of us would have to continue alone.

How do I begin to process the end of an era? The most beautiful one of all.
The era in which you introduced me to life itself.

The books I read, the music I love, the art that moves me, the values I hold, the beliefs I carry, the humour that colours my days. I learnt them not merely through your words, but through the quiet example of how you lived.

People say unconditional love is difficult to practise. I never believed them, because you gave it so effortlessly.

You loved me so completely, so generously, for all of my life, that today, as I write this, I do not find myself drowning in regret. With you, I have none.
Questions, though I have many.
You alone gave me the love story of a lifetime.

Whose arms do I borrow now to rest my head in?
Whose lips do I borrow to kiss my hands for no reason at all?
Whose eyes do I borrow to see myself with the tenderness that you did?
How many gods must I pray to for the protection that came so naturally from you?

How many lifetimes did I have to journey through to earn this one with a love like yours?
Or perhaps the answer is simpler.
Perhaps with a will as fierce as yours, you fought through every lifetime yourself, just to find me again.

And if souls truly remain intertwined, as you always promised they would, then this is not goodbye.

I always begin with planning my meals to then scrolling through @zomato to then eventually cooking whatever I’m craving in the moment. I suppose its better than not being able to cook what you intend to eat🍛 #reelsinstagram #zomato #homecookedmealsarethebest #grandmahobbies #instadaily by @sunethraeaswaran
