I left Argentina at the age of four years old. My family never looked back. As immigrants, we left home, knowing that we could potentially never come back. I left behind two beautiful families. Cousins, uncles, and grandparents. This World Cup meant more than just winning a game. It meant the world to stand alongside my home, and my family. Despite the hate, and the bullying. The ICE threats on my people, and the racism the country faced from the world. My heart yearns to be home again. I hope one day to make that dream come true. To hold my family dearly as we get to know one another after 26 years…

Argentina is a place worth seeing, and knowing. Before you assume, or generalize our people. Do some research, learn about our history. Learn about the people who fight everyday to survive in Argentina. Some of your closest friends are Argentinian. Give them a hug. Tell them you see them, and love them. Let’s stop spreading hate, and have some respect. As a community, we all deserve better. Football is the one thing that unites a broken country, with a big spirit. Though we lost, we still celebrate the glorious years we had with this team, with Messi. The first time I watched a soccer was in 2006. That was the first time I saw Messi play his first World Cup game. Yesterday was his last one ☝️ the tears were real. I’ll forever hold the memory of my dad taking me to a soccer game in Argentina. The way the crowd roared. It feels like a hug from home. One that I grieve, and miss everyday.

Congratulations Spain, vamos moto mamis! ♥️💛🩵💛 mi corazon siempre esta en el sol, con Argentina. Los amo. Los extraño todo los dias.
