Yesterday was one of those days where I really felt how much I love my job.

Played 5 hours at Monkey Bar, all the way through an amazing Berlin sunset, and somehow it felt like no time passed at all.

In all transparency, I don’t enter flow state every single time I DJ. Thankfully, most of the time I do, but I’ve realized it’s not something I can just switch on. It either happens or it doesn’t.

At the end of the day, this is also a job. Some days everything clicks, other days you walk away with learnings for the next one.

But when I do enter flow state, there’s nothing quite like it.

I’m completely present. I get more creative with transitions, take risks with the song selection, try things I normally wouldn’t and genuinely just enjoy the moment. I stop thinking about time and start following wherever the set wants to go.

Yesterday was exactly that.

Tech House, Deep House, Disco, Indie Dance… over 5 hours, every sound had its own little pocket and its own moment.

That’s probably what I love most about longer sets. There’s space to explore. Space to take the crowd somewhere without rushing to get there.

Was I exhausted after 5 hours? 100%

Did I love every minute of it? 100%

yesterday was a success ✅

I am really happy with last night. Playing at a bar is always nice since I get to play differently than I would in a club. And to be fair @monkeybarberlin is not just any bar.. It’s in my opinion one of Berlin best rooftops.

5 hours. No break.
Longer sets are more fun than short ones. You really get to dive deep and eventually hit flow state… I really do love my job 🙏🏽

see you on friday @weekendclub.berlin

It’s 33°C in Berlin and I’m dressed as if I was at a greek beach club. But that’s besides the point…

This Friday i’ll be joining @stuckinspace.bln for another spectacular night at Weekend Club.
I’ll be playing from 01:00 - 03:00 and you can expect crème de la crème House and Tech House 💿

See you on the dance floor🪿
(why the emoji? cause I like it)

Last saturday at @beateuwe_official was a lot of fun!

I really enjoyed opening and closing the night since I got to play two different styles.
🌖 From 21:00 - 22:30 I kicked the night off with some House and Deep House to get the people dancing and set the tone for the DJs after me
🌘 And from 04:30 - 07:00 I closed the night with some Tech House and Indie Dance

Thank you to everyone that danced along, I had a great time!
And thank you @dirty.doering for the invite, it’s always a pleasure 🤝🏽

Ps: First time playing with the V10… 10/10. Why doesn’t every CDJ Mixer have a 4 Channel EQ?? 😪 taken in Beate Uwe by @sunlastmusic
