7-string Shoegaze / nu-metal type tones are my favourite thing.
This is just left/ right guitar layer.
Splitter on pedal board for amp signal and DI signal simultaneously when tracking.
DI signal is going into a @tascam_official porta studio with the preamps hot for that crunchy tone and the amp is a @fender bassman micd up with a Se VR2 and an sm58.

Just a lil test clip here, would very much like to start doing more remote drum recording, mixing and mastering, general production etc out of this space.
Simple beat here and a simple mix just to show some of the range.
As a drummer I’m comfortable in any style of music from indie/ rock/ shoegaze to metal, heavy music including blast beats etc :)

HMU for any mixing / mastering / remote drum recording/ general production!
Would love to play on your records and help make them sound good. by @sunn_jpeg

Finally starting to feel more comfortable in the new space I’ve been working out of in Toronto.
This is in my basement near oakwood and st. Clair.
I would love to work with some folks on anything including recording/ production/ mixing/ mastering and whatever else that comes with that!

The space isn’t huge but extremely functional, have lots of gear and get a great drum sound down here too!

For people who want to come to my space to work on recording/ production I am not going to charge full studio day rate for this space as it’s not ideal, but still charging the same for mixing/ mastering/ engineering.

I am also open to working out of other studios depending on day rates and what you might have the budget for, I have the ability to be more mobile these days with my setup and working in the box.

Also Have the ability to get a bit of seperation and do live off the floor beds here in this space for tracks or just work in a multi track capacity. Whatever makes the most sense for the project.

I am also available as a session drummer/ guitarist/ bass player if you’re a solo artist who wants to build full tracks, as well as for tours :)

Made this lil video for fun -
But the real reason I’m here is because
I am looking for gigs.

Mixing/ mastering/ production/ co-writing etc.

Also available as a touring and or session drummer/ guitarist/ bassist with 10+ years of professional experience. Based in southern Ontario but will travel for the right opportunities!
Comfortable with pretty much any style of music but really feel at home with indie/ shoegaze/ heavy rock and metal/ ambient.
I am open to any and all projects and can quote rates on sliding scale. Whether you are looking for a full scale production including recording / mix and master or just want someone to polish up some home recordings you made with a solid mix / master.

Email me - sunnsettermusic@gmail.com - if you want to get in contact about rates etc as I’m often bad at responding to DMs on here. 😎

New track today by @sunnsetter -
Written, recorded, mixed/ mastered here at the stu by @sunnsetter (Andrew McLeod)
Additional vocals and production ideas by @cole.sefton @gottswutuneed. Brought in the homies and they came up with the idea of doing the filter sweeps in/ out of the chorus haha. Honestly makes the song. Also Cole’s high harmony at the end with a bit of autotune is one of my favourite parts of the song.

Anyone looking for remote drum recording?
Something that I love to do.

Especially if you’re looking for someone to experiment with tones and get different sounds that I can pre mix into the track for you.
Or I can send you clean stems for you to mix yourself. Whatever you want!

I can play almost any style well, but am especially comfortable with indie rock, hip hop, shoegaze, rock in general (prog, psych, etc etc)
Also heavier music like metal, sludge, pop punk, emo etc etc etc etc etc.
