C A L I F O R N I A living.

There is an ease to my life but it isn’t easy. Being an architect of my life is not light work. It takes learning when to push, coast, pause, step back and then repeat.

This little life of mine has taught me many lessons and also given me theee most beautiful memories. Not one or the other. Both. The yin and the yang.

Spring is here bringing —another opportunity to bloom again. I hope this season brings you just what you need.

F R E E.

Lost and found describes my very existence. My very human existence. It’s beautiful to acknowledge I do not know it all. Life can be blurry. It’s also beautiful to know that all is not lost and I have anchors.

This past weekend and into this week (all isolated occurrences) I’ve had a handful of ppl pour into me with their kind words. All of the sentiments unsolicited and heartfelt by my heart. Sometimes it feels like people don’t truly see us but receiving these words confirmed that I am on the right path —my path. How sweet it is to have ppl who see past the surface and see your heart.

It’s is not a cliché. Kind, genuine words go a long way.
Open your heart so you are F R E E to receive kindness and give kindness that is felt deeply + wholeheartedly.

I want us to all feel free and deeply loved.

Oh, Summer baby, I cannot even count the infinite ways I love you. But, per usual you have me out here shedding, changing, refining and even cutting my hair again. The bun is gone. See second to last slide for proof. :)

Life lately has been all things beautiful, wild and endearing. Maybe that’s why I love the 1/3 rule and expect life to be about 1/3 good, 1/3 okay and 1/3 crappy (challenging). C’est la vie. That’s life. And overall I still find it beautiful. Not all of it but most of it.

The world yes is filled with pain. I know heartbreak as well as I know joy. Both exist even when one can be felt more than other. Keep going so you can feel it all. Keep your heart open so you can let the joy in and let the pain out. If you close up how can you let go of what’s keeping you heavy?

We are intended to feel. Yet emotions don’t belong to us. Emotions are information not facts. They are simply visitors here to deliver a message. Don’t cage them —set them free so you can feel free or at least more free. 🕊️

Yes, our world feels heavy but still give yourself permission to dream, create, love, reimagine, plan, rest, move and take action that feels right to your soul. Keep being human and preserve your humanity fiercely. by @sunni.imani

Dear March, you were wild and beautiful in all the ways. Here are a few moments in photos and a few written thoughts in no particular order.

- friends you can grow with are a gift.
- yes, seek peace but don’t hide in it. that’s avoidance.
- sometimes you gotta face the hard stuff.
- lavish in the easeful moments.
- i’m a Taurus i’m gonna lavish.
- mocktails are delicious and so is a glass of wine
- sometimes i feel young. sometimes i feel old.
- aging is weird but i embrace it.
- i’m lowkey looking forward to 40.
- lately i cry very easily.
- i cried during every episode of first wives club. 🙃
- send help. actually don’t. feeling feels good.
- happy Sunday beautiful people.
- find a way to love a little deeper. our world needs it.
- rest is important and so is action. choose both.
