🤯This is what I get to do for a living?!🤯

I’m coming down off the joy of hosting clients from all over the world 🌍 last week for an in person workshop. I opened by sharing this story…

Years ago, a close friend asked me what I saw my end goal being. I’ve truthfully never had a specific end goal but I had a vision and it came out of my mouth before I could really think about it. I said, I want to create something that elevates experts onto a global stage so they can easily impact the people who need them most. I wanted to create SUCCESS RIPPLES 🌊 Just because someone has an expertise doesn’t mean they know how to use it to serve at the highest level or be seen by the folks that need them. Fast forward nearly a decade and this is THAT dream come true 🤯

In the room last week, we had clients who have built highly successful online programs using our method in a wide range of niches:

The best sales conversations feel less like a pitch… and more like being deeply understood.

For experts with a strong offer, credibility, and real results, this is often the missing piece.

When you slow down and ask better discovery questions, you uncover what your prospect has already tried, what’s really keeping them stuck, what’s at stake, and what they actually want.

Three simple questions can open that up:

→ Why is that?
→ How so?
→ Can you tell me more about that?

When the conversation goes deeper, the right client can often see for themselves why your offer is the next step.

Most online coaches think they have a visibility problem.

They don't.

“I became the architect of my life” 👏🏻 AND THAT RIGHT THERE IS WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO!

Meet Josie. Josie is a client of mine in The Authority Accelerator. I got to share Josie’s success story last week publically, but it’s something she said to me privately that has played in my head on a loop.

Josie used to work as a lecturer at the University of Miami. She loves the academic world but the structure of her work didn’t work for her. She told me there was a 4 month period every year where she would leave for work before her daughter and husband woke up and get home after they had gone to sleep. It was rough on her and her family.

Now, Josie helps medical students get into the university of their dreams with her online program - she works on her time, in her way, and she’s more than replaced her salary with her business. She said “you’ve changed my life” and as much as I always love to hear how our program has impacted people, the reality is, Josie did the work and followed the process and she changed her own life.

“YOU’VE changed my life” is not a sentence I’m used to hearing in the grocery store 🤣 But that’s what happened in aisle 3 👇🏻

I was doing a grocery shop a few weeks ago and all of a sudden, this wonderful human walked right up to me and said “are you Sunny?”

🤦🏼‍♀️I genuinely thought she was coming over to me to ask me to stop awkwardly admiring her - she is strong 💪🏻 and I was in total awe of her 🤦🏼‍♀️

But, instead, she said “you’ve changed my life” 🤯🥺

Giulia is a client of mine in our Authority Accelerator program - her business helps women with body image challenges, empowering them to feel good from the inside out and truthfully, she is a walking billboard for the work she does.

Giulia went on to tell me that her business did multiple 5 figures last month and she’s found a really beautiful work/life balance through creating her online program. I truly could have talked to her forever - I will never take for granted that this is the work we get to do and that there are thousands of real human beings all over the world who are doing the work they love, on their terms, because of the work we do.

Our program serves clients in over 600 niches in 47 different countries, so it’s not often I’m stopped in person in my local grocery store - but it certainly hits different, in the most wonderful way.

Becoming a mom last year fundamentally changed me and my business.

I’ve always valued time more than anything else in the world, because I recognize it’s the only thing that we can’t make more of - it is a non-renewable resource. When I had my daughter, this became even more real for me. I could not imagine missing precious moments with her - it actually makes my heart physically ache to think about.

When I became an entrepreneur, I wanted freedom. Freedom of choice, freedom or time, and financial freedom.

What I soon found was that I was experiencing the opposite and I was completely trapped.

I had created a beast of a business that ate up all of my time, my peace, my joy and soon I started resenting my business to the point where I didn’t want to do it anymore.

And it ultimately led me to a place of complete and utter burnout - rushed to the ER with all of the symptoms of a stroke at 29 years old. I felt like the world was caving in on me.

From the outside in, it looked like I had it all together but I was operating on such a deep level of autopilot I had lost the ability to tune into my body and what it truly needed.

I’ve made it my mission since then to support folks who are sick of doing business the traditional way where it requires their constant presence to generate an income.

The key is to do less so you can

🥛 This is the season I’m in right now…🥛

Pumping to nourish my baby girl 6x a day while I simultaneously support my team and clients from around the world from my home office. If there is one significant crossover between motherhood and running a business, it’s that EVERYTHING is temporary - the good and the hard and I think it’s incredibly helpful to share how I have evolved through at least 8 different seasons since becoming an entrepreneur over a decade ago

Season 1: The Blind Hustle
The newbie entrepreneur who needed to prove herself to everyone and everything to feel validated and valued. I spent my time aimlessly posting on social media, chasing new clients and undervaluing my time and energy.

Season 2: The Surprised Success Story
After testing and failing and repeating, I found my groove and shocked myself at how successful my business became and all of the opportunities I was starting to attract.

Season 3: The FOMO Season
Because of my newfound success, I felt the need to be everywhere and say yes to everything to stay relevant.

Season 4: The Post Burnout Season
After experiencing a massive burnout (caused by season 3), I found myself and what actually mattered to me and what actually created sustainable success. I had a full ego-death and lost all ability to care about vanity metrics and recognized quickly that likes and follower growth mean diddly squat when it comes to creating a long term, sustainable, consistent, healthy business.
