When I was a little girl, my Momma always took me to canvass, phone bank, and vote with her. She taught me about why voting mattered to her as a Black woman, Panamanian, and immigrant to the U.S. She always told me that voting is just one of many responsibilities we have to our community, especially other Black elders who fought for all of our rights.

Today was the first time that I’ve voted with Mama as an adult, and it is such an honor to show up in solidarity with her as her care taker at the polls today. If excruciating pain and grief didn’t stop my Momma, I pray that we all leverage voting and every tool we possibly can because this nation’s political landscape affects way too many people and our entire planet from every river to every sea. Collective liberation and freedom will require effort and commitment. We do this for all our martyrs and movement ancestors. by @sunnyschance

Saving memories to last lifetimes on Momma’s healing journey from her severe work injury. I am so proud of Momma for prioritizing her health as wealth!

This season is incredibly tough for our little family, and each day is a reminder that the healthcare system in this country is beyond challenging for so many families to navigate and afford. Nevertheless, we will persist and continue to have faith in God’s healing power and resourcefulness to turn this situation around for Momma’s good. #healthiswealth by @sunnyschance

First NOLA tour to bring in 33! Highly recommend @zipnola Erria & Tiffany are the best tour guides! They taught us tricks & it was a blast! 💥 check it out y’all! by @sunnyschance

We highly recommend visiting the Higher Purpose Healing Ancira Eastern Body Work Center if you need healing care work! We are so grateful for Matthew helping our family this year - my Momma after her work accident and me after my car accident! I haven’t had to use a cane or wheelchair since & Mama is beyond grateful.

Please keep Mama Diana in your prayers and healing thoughts! We appreciate all your support!
