I’ve been a little quiet on here lately! At the start of the year, I jumped into an exciting new creative venture, so tattooing has taken a bit more of a back seat. I’m still tattooing, just being a little pickier about the projects I take on.

I’ll be sharing a mix of tattoo work, creative projects, and life stuff on here going forward, which I’m really excited about. But for now, here’s a little May video dump. Enjoy 😘 by @sunofthegoddess

Got to finally line on the back with some freehand lotus background on this full Egyptian Leg piece I started when I was at the Lacemakers Sweatshop the year after my apprenticeship.

Elliot is a hard person to pin down as he is really busy with work so we have only really done a session ever other year since 2019 which can make doing big pieces a little challenging but I am so excited to get more on this done and finally finish it haha

The front is Osiris, Isis and Nepthys the back is a priestess of Hathor and a priestess Sarcophagos. The leg piece is my take on some of the fresco art from the Temple of Hathor in Dendera.

This is the biggest painting I’ve done since I was 18! I love working on a larger scale, though finding space to store them is always a bit of a challenge.

I got back into painting a few years ago after a really long break. It’s been such a healing journey having a creative practice that’s just for me, where I can explore and challenge myself without the pressure to impress anyone or turn it into income.

My painting practice began by scaling up tattoo stencils and applying techniques I learned while studying orthodox religious iconography. That fusion led to colourful reinterpretations of my tattoo designs, giving them new life and a new identity.

I’ve always been drawn to ancient Greek, Egyptian, and Celtic art and am continually inspired by strong Goddess imagery.

This painting-in-progress is my first attempt at interpreting the classic tattoo bodysuit through paint. It’s been both a challenge and a joy, and I’m creating it with gouache acrylic.

You’ll be able to see this piece in person at the @_ohfy Art show alongside more Artwork from some incredible Tattoo Artists on August 29/30th at @lanzaroteworks ! 🧿 Lately, I’ve been exploring new concepts I’m deeply excited to tattoo. They are drawn from the ancient worlds of Greek, Egyptian, and Arabic art.

These ornamental lotus flowers carry the echoes of sacred geometry and timeless symbolism. I’d love to tattoo them as delicate linework, in black and grey, or infused with colour. Colour lives at the heart of my painting practice, and I’m eager to bring more of it into my tattoo work.

The designs are fluid, meant to move with any body shape and feel like ornamental armour. Though originally imagined for the torso, they can find a home wherever the body feels right.

Pretty classic of me to start a load of new painting projects before finishing some old ones 😂. I wanted to share this though, it’s an experiment I did with Gouache on wood chip board. This is based on a tattoo design I did as a part of a clients leg sleeve a few years ago. Queen Hatshepsuts Journey through reincarnation. It’s so much fun taking black and grey tattoo designs and turning them in to really colourful paintings. It’s nice looking back at the things you’ve worked on so you can see your progress.

Ancient Greek Goddess Themis for my cousin Theo’s first tattoo! Thank you so much Theo you sat like a champ 🙏🏼
