Moment of transparency/storytime:

A few months ago I got to sing an original song for @jabari & @bryanmichaelcox as an audition for @rnbonly . I was fresh out the ER for eye pain and running on 4 hours of sleep with an excruciating headache before this footage was taken. It was my last performance before going 2 months without vision in my right eye, or being able to sing at all, because the cause of the pain was later diagnosed as ocular shingles.

The recovery process has been long and continually challenging, but if a forced hiatus was to happen, then what better way to close out than performing for the legend that is B. Cox, and on a platform that garners hundreds of thousands of R&B lovers?? This moment was confirmation that what's meant for me will never miss me. Everything in divine timing.

So much love for the team at @rnbonly 💜 You can watch this full episode of the Next Up series on their YouTube channel, and stream my song "Fire", written by me and produced by @_mo.et , on all the streaming things. by @sunrhe

And on the first day of Spring 🌱. Can't fit all my love in a caption but @shauntony captured the energy of the night perfectly. It was warm, it was intimate, it was safe there.

Thank you @jbsrecord for allowing us to use your space. It felt so comfortable, like I was performing in my living room, and you all made me feel so appreciated.

Thank you @pharaohjabriel for just being you. I couldn't think of a better fit for this show, and I'll be reflecting for a long time on all the ways your performance inspired me.

THANK YOU TO MY BAND! 🗣️
