Join us for the opening celebration of our annual Summer in the Sunset group exhibition, this year at our new shop, @sunsetvariety, on Saturday, September 5 from 2–5pm!

This year’s show brings together 25 local artists, celebrating our very special neighborhood and summer as we know it here.

Come meet the artists, see the exhibition, explore our new space, and spend an afternoon celebrating art and community in the Outer Sunset.

Founded by two San José State alumni, Caffeine Depot is a Vietnamese-owned coffee and matcha pop-up. What started in a home kitchen has grown into a Bay Area pop-up serving Vietnamese coffee, premium matcha from Japan, and seasonal drinks that are a little playful, a little nostalgic, and made with ingredients we genuinely care about.

Proof is a small-batch SF-based pop-up bakery making all things sourdough — expect crusty, bubbly focaccia in seasonal flavors, plus assorted sweet sourdough treats!

Soleia Lane Owner and Scent Designer Dianna Allen approaches creating fragrances in an imaginative and nuanced manner. Always embracing ideation to formulation as an art form, we consciously craft each product to feel organic and free-flowing in your space.

@jennifery is a Berkeley-based DJ known for her groovy and whimsical selections spanning rare 90’s house cuts and lush tri-hop instrumentals. Her sets provide a winding journey of building energy and textural ear candy. She enjoys the versatility of DJing with vinyl and rinsing through her digital gems. Went to @sunsetvariety this weekend to celebrate the opening. Sunset Variety is home to works by 60+ local (mostly Sunset District) artists. This corner has been in desperate need of love – and Sunset Variety is bringing it! So many friends, neighbors, family, and random passersby’s filled the shop this weekend. It felt alive and vibrant for the first time in years! Looking forward to witnessing the shop and this area flourish! And I’m so proud to have even the teeny tiniest part (as a maker) in the birth of something that will bring so much love to the Outer Sunset! Thank you, Jeana!! Rooted in the history of the Outer Sunset, Sunset Variety takes its name and spirit from one of the original businesses in historic Sunset Village. It celebrates the creativity, craftsmanship, and diversity that continue to define the neighborhood: a curated collection of locally made goods, art, paper goods, and everyday treasures, each chosen for its quality, character, and story.

Discovery is at the heart of the experience. The most meaningful objects are often unexpected: the handmade card that becomes a keepsake, the vintage find that finds its next home, the local artist discovered for the first time. Part shop, part collection, part love letter to the Outer Sunset.
