The Suns Football Netball Club are excited to welcome James Calleja to the Suns for the 2027 season!

James joins us as a versatile ruckman, bringing strong overhead marking, athleticism and great timing and positioning around the ground.

After taking some time away from football to focus on his young family, James is ready for a fresh start and is looking forward to getting back on the field, enjoying his football and making a strong contribution to the Suns.

We’re thrilled to welcome James and his family to the Suns community and can’t wait to see him in the red, yellow and black in 2027! ❤️💛🖤

The Suns Football Netball Club are thrilled to officially welcome Oliver Kunze to the club for the 2027 season!

At just 20 years old, Oliver already brings an impressive football résumé and plenty of experience to the Suns.

After two seasons in the Under 18s, Oliver made the move to Deer Park, where he finished 3rd in the B&F and 5th in the league, while also taking out the team’s Leading Goal Kicker award from the midfield.

In 2026, Oliver stepped up to Premier Reserves, finishing 2nd in the B&F, while also earning his senior debut and finding the goals in both of his senior appearances.

Oliver also spent the 2025–26 season playing in Darwin, where he was named Most Improved, and he’ll be heading back north again this summer.

A versatile player who can make an impact forward, back or through the midfield, Oliver puts the team first and will do whatever it takes to win.

We’re incredibly excited to see what Oliver can bring to the Suns in 2027 and look forward to welcoming Oliver, his parents Kelly & Andreas, and his girlfriend Sarah to the club.

Welcome to the Suns, Oliver! ❤️💛🖤 by @sunsfnc
