Friday Reflection ‎‎Before the week closes, you might want to, Pause. Breathe. Look at how far you've come.‎‎This week wasn't about becoming a different person.‎‎It was about something quieter, ‎It was about gently lifting the layers, the survival strategies, the old contracts, the protective walls, to find the person who was always underneath them.‎‎Healing often shows up as a moment of awareness. ‎‎A different choice. ‎‎A quiet refusal to repeat the old pattern. Sometimes, "I need a hug" isn't really about the hug. 🤍A few weeks ago, one of the ladies in our Sunshine Hub community called me and simply said, "I'm overwhelmed… I just need a hug."Then another lady said the same thing.And another.As I listened, I realized they weren't asking for physical affection as much as they were asking for something much deeper.A safe placeTo rest without guilt.To laugh without pretending.To be held emotionally.To put down the armour they had carried for so long.So, we created Let's Hug It Out.No agenda to fix anyone.No pressure to have all the answers.No expectation to be the strong one in the room.Just women gathering to breathe, talk, laugh, eat, reflect, and remember that healing is not something we were meant to do alone.Yesterday reminded me of something I have always believed:Healing doesn't only happen in therapy. It also happens in safe relationships.Sometimes, the medicine is being in a room where no one is asking you to perform—only inviting you to be.We laughed.We shared.We hugged.We rested.Thank you to every woman who showed up with courage, openness, and authenticity.
