Thank you to the Hyde Park Jazz Festival for inviting me to help celebrate the festival's 20th Anniversary. We had an absolutely amazing time paying tribute to Oscar Brown Jr.'s centennial birthday.

This arrangement of Afro Blue came from the spirit and we were grateful to the audience for joining us on the journey.

Open House Chicago at the @narrowbridgeartsclub was a vibe. Days like this feed the soul.

Artistic expression with the Alexander McLean Project and live painting with @arthurwrightart who invited the audience to express their joy on paper. All capped off by the hospitality of the Ginsburgs' in their beautifully reclaimed church.

"It's October" by the great Oscar Brown Jr. was so appropriate for the day; as was the mention of "Cantober", how artist and audience member @chleeart celebrates her birthday/month.

John McLean, guitar
Ivan Taylor, bass
Quin Kirchner, drums
