SPEEDING.
Short film I directed back in 2024. Small comedy film shot on 35mm, my first film project and a big reason why I decided to keep shooting on film.

GATEWAY is a conceptual film that represents the passing down of culture through generations. The director, Sophia Park, wanted to convey that sometimes, individuals must go looking for their culture, and it is not always passed down directly. This is the reality for most indigenous people in the Americas today.

This film highlights the traditional regalia, dance, and songs of the Tlingit and Haida tribes of Alaska’s Pacific Northwest Coast. Director Sophia Park is a proud member of the Tlingit and Haida tribes, with family roots deeply connected to this vibrant culture. Through the medium of film, she seeks to honor and share her heritage with others.

This film is a proof of concept for a bigger short-film narrative project currently in development.
