SUN TO SURF | RACE WEEK FAQ 🌊
Kia ora whānau – it’s almost go time! Here’s everything you need to know for race day 👇

📍 Race Location
Start & finish at Port Ōhope Wharf (Event Village, food trucks, first aid & prizegiving all here).

📝 Race Registration
• Friday: 3–8pm
• Saturday: 6–7:30am
📍 Port Ōhope Wharf
✔️ You can collect bibs for others
❌ Lost bibs can’t be replaced

In-person entries are still available at race registration.
⚠️ Online registrations have now closed.
⏱️ Limited late entries available (first come, first served)
💳 Payment by EFTPOS or credit card

⏰ Race Day Schedule (Sat 31 Jan)
• 7:30am – Mihi Whakatau
• 8:00am – Half Marathon (21km)
• 8:20am – 10km
• 8:40am – 5km
• 12:00pm – Prizegiving
• 1:00pm – 21km course closes
• 2:30pm – Wilde Whippet Kids Race (Mahy Reserve, Ōhope Beach)

🗺️ Course & Terrain
• 21km: road, berm, beach & trails
• 10km: road, berm & trails
• 5km: road & berm
📲 Course maps are available on the website

💧 Aid Stations
• Water refill stations on all courses
• SOS Hydration at finish + selected aid stations
♻️ Cupless event – bring your own cup or bottle
🛒 Collapsible cups available to purchase from the FuelMe stand at race registration
🚻 Toilets available at every aid station

🚗 Parking & Roads
• On-street parking only – please carpool if possible
• Stop/Go traffic management in place
⚠️ Stay aware of traffic on road sections
