Some days feel heavy, but the promise of tomorrow always brings new light.
Keep going, even if it’s just one small step. 💛

It’s interesting how things can be changing before you even notice. Nothing looks different in the moment, but if you really pay attention, there are always these subtle shifts happening in the background of everything.

Right now it’s the ocean just after sunset, and the waves in the distance are so subtle you almost miss them. From far away it looks still, but it isn’t. It’s already in motion, already settling into night without anything dramatic happening.

I think a lot of life is like that. Most change isn’t obvious while it’s happening. It’s quiet, almost unnoticeable, until suddenly you realize things aren’t the same as they were.

I went quiet for a little while.
Life got heavy in ways I am still sorting through. Some of you know that feeling. When you just need to disappear into yourself for a bit.
But today something shifted. I cannot explain it. I just woke up and felt the upswing coming.
No big reason. No dramatic moment. Just a quiet feeling that the worst of it has passed and something better is on its way.
If you have been in a heavy season... hold on. The upswing comes. Sometimes without warning.

I used to come here and just stand under the pier and look out.
Something about being underneath it; the waves, the light coming through, the sound of it all around you, made everything else feel smaller for a little while.
Sometimes healing is not a big dramatic moment. Sometimes it is just finding a different place to stand and letting the light hit you differently.
Find your underneath the pier moment. It changes things.

Some days it is not one thing.
It is everything at once living in your body like a weight you cannot put down.
You carry it to the store. You carry it through conversations. You carry it into the night.
If you know this feeling; the one that lives in your chest and your shoulders and your bones.
I see you tonight.
You do not have to explain it. You do not have to fix it tonight.
Just keep breathing. The weight does not stay this heavy forever.

Some days I don't have a big feeling to share.
I just go to the water. I breathe. I take it in.
There is something about the ocean that quiets everything else. The surfers waiting for their wave. The sun doing what it always does. The pier holding steady.
For someone with an anxious heart, finding a place that just quiets the noise. That is everything.

Find your water. Find your quiet place. Go there as often as you can.

This was my birthday. I stood here with my kids and my husband and for a little while everything that had been heavy felt lighter.
I did not know then how much I would need this memory in the months ahead.
If you are going through a season where good moments feel far away. They are still coming.
Hold on for your pier moment. Hold on for your people.

Some seasons are happy and heartbreaking at the same time. You find yourself smiling and grieving in the same breath. Proud and scared. Excited and not ready. Still the sun keeps coming through even in the wild and tangled places. If you are in a season that feels like both things at once. You are not alone.

Thursday night. I was exhausted before I even left the house.
But my daughter needed me there. So I went. And on the way home I stopped at the water for a few minutes and just stood here.
If you have anxiety you know what it costs to show up to things. The preparation. The energy. The talking yourself into it. Most people never see that part. They just see you walk through the door.
But I see it. And I want you to know, showing up when it is hard is one of the bravest things a person can do.
You showed up today too. In whatever way you could. That counts.

The sun will come tomorrow.

Sometimes the day just takes more out of you than you expected.

But even now… the sky softens.
Nothing stays heavy forever.

Rest tonight.
The sun will come tomorrow.

This week took more out of me than I expected.

But I made it through.

Not perfectly… just honestly.

And that feels like something.

The sun will come tomorrow.

Today felt long.

Some parts were heavier than I expected.

But I made it through.

Still here.
And that’s enough for tonight.

The sun will come tomorrow.
