Last night in Atlanta was one for the books. The energy was unreal with RJD2, J-Live, and myself on stage. Terminal West is a 600 cap room and the crowd was thick. So many unforgettable moments, it is hard to capture them all, but here are a few highlights.

People pulled up from as far as Ontario just to be there, and that kind of love does not go unnoticed. We appreciate every single person who showed up and everyone who supported from afar.

Big shoutout to Paul from @zmpresents for literally giving me the Atlanta hoodie off his back lol. Much love to @speakeasypromo and @terminalwest for making it all happen.

While the sonics can spin into farther-off realms, Supastition's lyrics embrace the day-to-day realities that come with being a father and husband on the other side of 50, his verses wrestling with mortality, acknowledging this could be his last go-round, and prioritizing his wins as a dad over industry accolades. “My kids call me Father of the Year,” he boasts on “One Last Time,” sounding like a man immensely proud to wear the title.

“I went on my last tour in 2015, and then I made the conscious decision that I’m going to be the dad that’s there for my kids, and I never want to miss another birthday party when I’m out on the road,” said Supastition, who shared that he took some playful needling from his daughter when he let his kids know he was recording new music. “And she was like, ‘Dad, what are you going to rap about? All you do is go to work and make smoothies.’ … But, you know, when you get to our age – and not to say we’re old by any means – you just want honesty. As a person, I don’t live vicariously through any rapper. Those years are far behind me now. I don’t care about battling emcees. We’re brothers. We’re all battling hypertension. We’re battling high cholesterol. We’re battling trying to balance lives and families.”

March 5, 2008, I was invited up by @djeclipsersc to the Halftime Radio Show 10th Anniversary Special. Me and my brother @themightydjdr drove all the way from Charlotte to NYC. I walked into the WNYU radio station and saw everyone from DJ Premier and Alchemist to some of my favorite rappers. The only thing I wanted to do was show and prove! This session had @marcopolobeats and Alchemist playing beats. I started out over the Marco Polo beat and the rest is history! This is one of the best memories of my music career.

Spent my birthday in New Orleans last week, and it’s officially become one of my favorite cities. If you love art, music, incredible food, and rich culture, this place is hard to beat.

The first time I visited was back in 2015 while on tour with Blueprint, but I only had a day to see the city. Ever since then, I’ve had a running list of places I wanted to experience. This trip, I finally got to check off most of them and getting to do it with my family made it even better.

Here are a few shots from the trip.
