Over 200 years ago, this beautiful place we live - the South Coast of NSW - was forever changed by a man named Alexander Berry. But one name you may have not heard of is Arawarra.

We spoke to Dharawal language teacher Jake Māra head of next week’s sold out premiere of ‘Arawarra’ - as part of the MERRIGONGX program.

Jake said playing Arawarra on stage at first was very daunting, and he felt he had big shoes to fill. “But it was also an inspiration to have the power to almost summon his spirit a little bit to get his strength, to tell his story.”

I've been feeling nostalgic lately, trying to capture the feeling of awe and wonder from childhood. How lucky I am to have a Mum who continues to inspire me. Her creativity I remember was like magic. She would think of gifts and crafts that brought so much joy to the world. She was so encouraging of my own artist pursuits, like this, my student film from uni days. I feel inspired to keep making things, and curious - what can I do next? And it's thanks to her.

It is with immense pleasure I can FINALLY and formally announce the next edition of L.I.M.P. Magazine will be officially for sale THIS SATURDAY at the @mtnszineclub Zine Fair. I mean, I’ve sent it to print so hopefully my good friends at TNT come through like they usually do. Anyone close to me knows just how hard and for how long I have worked on this passion project. I’m so proud of my improvement - this magazine is the best looking by far and took me the longest to finish.

I’m so incredibly grateful to all the contributors who submitted their photography, art, music, writing and creative bodies of work. I hope I’ve done you all justice and congrats on getting published for real life!

Keep your eyes and ears open folks bc we have soooo many irons in the fire. This is just the beginning and I am so excited for the future.

We picked up so many cool zines and comics yesterday at @otherworldszinefair! Always such a fun event. Thanks to those who stopped by our table, it was so nice seeing everyones familiar faces and meeting new people too.

Calling all @e_e_ fans to contribute to the Everything Everything Mountainhead fanzine!

Deadline April 1st 2024. Send your art, photogrpahy, music, memes, craft, reviews, poetry, musings... and everything to limpzine@gmail.com. The finished zine will be published digitally for free late April. A few printed copies may be distributed at the Sydney show in May.
