Nothing Arrives Quite as It Left

Art has never stayed put. It travels across borders and generations, shifting as it encounters new contexts, histories, and ways of seeing.

Bringing together practices from across the world, Nothing Arrives Quite as It Left creates a space for dialogue, unexpected resonances, and the connections that emerge between different artistic trajectories.

Presented by Castillo Interior at Superattico in Milan, the exhibition marks the gallery’s first show outside Mexico, bringing together artists whose practices are shaped by movement, exchange, and the spaces between places.

On view through September 24.

El arte nunca ha permanecido estático. Viaja a través de fronteras y generaciones, transformándose al encontrarse con nuevos contextos, historias y formas de mirar.

Reuniendo prácticas de distintas partes del mundo, Nothing Arrives Quite as It Left crea un espacio para el diálogo, resonancias inesperadas y las conexiones que surgen entre distintas trayectorias artísticas.

Presentada por Castillo Interior en Superattico, Milán, la exposición marca la primera muestra de la galería fuera de México y reúne a artistas cuyas prácticas están atravesadas por el movimiento, el intercambio y los espacios entre lugares.

Nothing arrives quite as it left

Castillo Interior is pleased to present Nothing arrives quite as it left, its first exhibition outside Mexico, opening in Milan this September.

Bringing together artists from Mexico, Latin America, and Europe, the exhibition explores the ways images, objects, and ideas transform as they move between contexts.

Featuring Lucía Farrow, Daniel Jáuregui, Fernanda Leaño, Luigi Pensa, Flora Deborah, Natalia Ramos, Nohana Sayama, Thomas Rosa, Yara Haydar, Tikal Smildiger, Nikolas Iturralde, Liva Jo, Leonardo Ascencio, Chiara Bonetti, Gaston Lisak, and Octavia Greig.

The exhibition transforms the space into an active environment where sound and light shape the perception of the room.

Il 27 febbraio 2026 · dalle ore 19:00 Superattico ospita “Echi e tracce: le vene aperte dietro il paesaggio olimpico”, progetto pubblicato su @altreconomia come racconto visivo a carattere di inchiesta. (Link in bio)

Omaggio all’opera di Eduardo Galeano, il progetto nasce come tentativo di denuncia visiva delle devastazioni ambientali legate ai Giochi Olimpici, utilizzando il disegno a mano come strumento di analisi e racconto critico.

February 27, 2026 · from 7:00 PM Superattico hosts “Echoes and Traces: the Open Veins Behind the Olympic Landscape”, a project published by @altreconomia as an investigative visual narrative. (Link in bio)

Conceived as an homage to the work of Eduardo Galeano, the project emerges as an attempt at visual denunciation of the environmental devastation linked to the Olympic Games, using hand drawing as a tool for analysis and critical storytelling.

Reflecting on the manipulation of nature and subjectivity of knowledge, In a State of Bliss brings two visual series into dialogue: Untitled 2020 and The Millennia Series. Both works explore the entanglement of technology, memory, and organic life, considering the limits of objectivity in an era defined by overabundant information and algorithmic interpretation. The exhibition considers how systems of knowledge — be they natural, archival, or computational — are shaped by context, desire, and error, eroding the distinction between constructed truth and speculative fiction.

An edible piece by Johanna Roth and Blanka Major will be presented during the opening night, offering a sensory reflection on the show.
