It showcases good local talents; from the freshly squeezed newbies to those already known in the local music scene. #superbadgigs #thesecretagentsjkt #krapela #makmurdjaja Contact info: desecretagents@gmail.com The name C’mon Lennon should always be mentioned among the major players in Jakarta’s indie pop scene during its golden years in the early 2000s. Formed in 2003, the band began as a fun side project among musicians who were already highly active in various independent bands and gigs circuit at the time. Musically, they crafted melodic pop infused with folk elements, while also incorporating influences from acid jazz and shoegaze, alongside an atmosphere reminiscent of The Velvet Underground and Happy Mondays. C’mon Lennon shot to prominence when their anthem, “Aku Cinta J.A.K.A.R.T.A.,” was featured on the iconic compilation *JKT:SKRG*, released by Aksara Records in 2004. A year later, they dropped their debut—and only—full-length album, Ketika La La La (2005), with Marmalade Records. Ketika La La La was later reissued on vinyl by Kaimana Records in 2012. Although their initial run was relatively short-lived, C’mon Lennon’s legacy has proven enduring. After a long, by @superbadgigs
