Quietly becoming her.
A year of surrender, growth, discipline, creativity, and trusting God at every turn. Grateful for all that was, excited for all that’s coming. I am confident I am here for so much more. @dash_legacy_

From birthday love and a moment of remembrance on September 11 to Jamaican theatre, schoolboy football, Ethiopian culture and an important stand against bullying, Friday’s Sunrise covered plenty of ground.

And then Wolmer’s Boys’ and Girls’ took over SKOOLAZ, bringing student voices, teacher perspectives, school pride and just a little healthy rivalry into the studio. 😭📚

Here’s your Beauty Shot, a quick look back at some of the moments that closed out the week.

Have a beautiful weekend, Sunrisers! 💛

It’s Friday, which means our producer has once again gone digging through the internet for videos Jason and Calee probably weren’t prepared to see. 😭

It’s time for REACT.

No scripts. No warning. Just the clips and whatever reaction comes naturally.

Which one got YOU?

Those of you who have been following Bruce and me know that we found ourselves in the middle of a major fixer-upper. While there’s plenty of work ahead, we’re excited to DIY our way to creating a beautiful oasis to call home and a functional space where family and friends can gather for years to come.

We can’t wait to share more of the before-and-afters along the way.

Our goal is to show that creating a beautiful home can be done on a budget, that DIY projects are often more achievable than they seem (even for beginners), and that with a little patience and creativity, you can skip the expensive middleman and do it yourself.

This is just the beginning of our kitchen transformation. Stay tuned for the journey!

NGL, my husband chose a very off white sectional for our living room and I was like… okay, cool. 😂…Nah I love it!!

But then I got with my sofa guy and went to LP Azar, picked out all the fabrics and materials I loved, and basically said, “Let’s put all of this together.”

And he DID.

I know this sofa is not for everybody, but honestly, I adore it. And that’s really what matters when you’re creating a home.

When I design a piece of furniture, I’m going old school. I draw it. I sketch the concept. The whole idea comes from my brain, and my brain is constantly pouring with creativity.

Then there’s something so cool about seeing what was in your head actually come to life.

If you want me to help you design your sofa or a custom furniture piece, call me. Just know I’m probably going to draw it first and then let the creativity take over.

@walkswoodfurnishing is legit the best!!!!
