A toast to the future

In the background of this piece you can see all the past warnings France had ignored in her pursuit of joy and pleasure that she hoped would help her forget about the horrors of world war one. Framed photographs of her allies from the war hang on the walls, their presence reminding her that they are still there to help each other when one falters. But so does German Empire on the last photograph continue to haunt the world with his presence, still alive in the consequences of his death, no matter how forgotten he may be to her now. The year is 1931, just months away from the day the economic crisis will finally come for France as well and set off a chain reaction leading to a new war caused by the rising party in the Weimar Republic. In the front, the reflection of France, or rather Free France can be seen in old France's wineglass as she gazes at her old self, realizing how blind she has been to the obvious warnings. Does she long to return to the time when her troubles seemed so insignificant they could be muffled by alcohol and dancing? Or does she appreciate the lesson that this past decade has taught her? In the end, what does it even matter, all she can do now is move forward, right?

New countryhumans design! Russian Empire is here, I wanted to give her some sort of welcome into the account so I made this thing inspired by Genshin's drip marketing. Welcome to the family, RE!

Art trade with @_eclipse.river !! 💕

I really liked the idea of Spanish Empire's representative animal being a lamb and how it contrasts with his personality, so I wanted to incorporate it into the art somehow. You know my art always needs some symbolism in it so I made the constellations on the sky look like devil horns heheh,,, hope you like it and thank you for the art trade twin! ^w^ by @superfantasticalweirdo

A dance with the past

I don't have much to say about the meaning of this one tbh... Britain is teaching his younger self how to dance, or in other words guiding his inexperienced younger self to greatness using the knowledge he now has. They are dancing on top of a clock to represent the passing of time. Don't look at the perspective of anything here I just focused on the colours this time 🤕

A safe place

The looong overdue Poland art + design is finally here 🥲 took me way too long.

Not much lore for this art, basically this is from the point of view of a random person Poland rescued. Poland spent most of world war two saving and rescuing pows and civilians from the axis, offering them a new home in his secret lab (which he remade into living quarters) since these people had nowhere else to go. They would then become members of the resistance which carried the symbol that Poland wears on his chest. Most of you already know as I've talked about this in the lore highlight.

The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
