I received some devastating news Tuesday morning. I lost another good friend. We spent so many weekends together at the golf course and he was just with me in May for his annual trip down to spend a few days with me. Dint get to see him last month when I was in NYC as he was under the weather. Good Morning America put together a nice tribute for him today for his decades of when at ABC as an editor of the many shows you probably watched. by @superfly2061

Finally made it to the Smithsonian African American Museum in DC. Great experience of the chronological history of African Americans in the U.S. many great artifacts, film footage and areas of knowledge. Did all 5 floors in one day as I was familiar with many of the stories told. by @superfly2061

Visited the gravesite of President Kennedy to pay my respects. RIP peace Jack. You paved the way for everything from the civil rights bill to many first in hiring African Americans and forcing companies and government officials to end discriminatory practices. by @superfly2061

Congratulations to my granddaughter Joiya Roebuck who was baptized today. Her great grandfather my father would be very happy that she received her baptism at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Harlem where he got the Pope to visit and also got Harlem’s first Black Bishop Emerson Moore installed. by @superfly2061

Wonderful day to play golf with friends and enjoy the outdoors in northern New Jersey. No alligators in sight and a temperature below 105 degrees. Thank God. by @superfly2061

If any one person should be credited with the founder or creator of what we call Hip Hop music it’s this man. DJ Hollywood a Harlemite not from the Bronx who I discovered at Club 371 in the Bronx who created the word Hip Hop and who Sugar Hill Gang stole all his rhymes to create the fist rap record Rappers Delight. What stories I have being dissed out of record company meetings about a genre of music that was a fad and not even music. It’s unfortunate that the man who created the phrase Hip Hop is almost completely overlooked by the industry. by @superfly2061

Coming in discriminated against an unwanted but the 1960s where a time of change. By 8th grade graduation I was school President. Bless you Sister Mary Regina. by @superfly2061

Had to stop by St. Patrick’s Cathedral to say a prayer for all my departed family and friends. The activity of the street performers and a youth basketball game in the middle of Times Square was an uplifting moment. by @superfly2061

RIP my good friend. We lost a pioneering icon in broadcasting. Tony Brown of Tony Browns Journal. His accomplishments are too many to list but his Saturday morning show on PBS was the longest running show in PBS history. I had the pleasure of taking Tony Brown on tour around the country with Black Expo in the late 80s and 90s. I also was his agent for the TV show and some public appearances and speaking engagements which helped him secure millions in advertising from Texaco, Toyota and other companies. He was a first in an era where a Black person on TV was a rarity. by @superfly2061
