If you’ve ever known me, even a little, chances are I’ve talked your ear off about Joe at some point. My family and I are so blessed to have spent 14 amazing years with him out of his 16-ish on earth. He wormed his way into our hearts (and cat carrier), and we had no idea how lucky we were. For the past 14 years, Joe has been my best friend, my lifeline, my America’s Next Top Model buddy, and everything else one could possibly want in a cat. He was loved so deeply by so many and had the best life. He spent his final days taking walks in the yard and eating tons of chicken and Churu (his favorites).

To my little love, my Joe: I hope the rays you bask in across the rainbow bridge shine even half as bright as you. I hope your bowl brims with chicken and full-fat kibble and your bed is a little too tight, just as you liked it. I hope you scratch every post, lick every ear of corn, and stare at every toy. I hope you run free from the pain of your last days. You were the most patient boy; the most gentle giant. I would deal with the puffy eyes of cat allergies forever if it meant getting to hold you one last time. I love you with every ounce of my soul.
