The latest episode of Super Good Juice is out now!

This week we speak with Kris McMeans @shotsbykris, who has had a pretty squiggly career!

Having fallen under the spell of LOTR behind-the-scenes footage, Kris was determined to pursue a career in film. Having achieved this, and facing the loss of her beloved brother, she packed her bags and relocated her life from Texas to Wellington.

Landing herself a sponsored job, Kris found herself in the world of technology, and nearly six years later, she hasn’t really looked back.

We cover a lot in today’s #careerconversation, from doing what makes you happy, realising that a more traditional 9-5 work life was a pretty appealing concept, her experience as an immigrant in NZ, finding a pathway in the tech space and a whole heap more.

[TW: mental health, suicide]

Episode 8 of #SGJ is out now!

In this episode, we have succumbed to the requests of our listeners to do an episode on ourselves. We were insanely nervous, and pressing submit has given me a rash, but we have to step outside of our comfort zones too!

We kick the episode off by answering some questions we received from some of our Instagram friends and then get pretty personal about some of the key people, decisions, challenges, and lessons that have contributed to shaping our respective careers.

We hope you enjoy this episode. 🫣

🧡🧡

As always, please feel free to reach out to us if you’d like to get involved with Super Good Juice. The more the merrier we say!

New ep is out now! In episode 7 we interview Zoe Carson @zoeinc who, for over a decade, has cultivated an impressive career in the advertising industry.

Having studied law and Spanish at uni, her career kicked off with an internship in Dubai, she moved back to Auckland, had a stint in London, and moved back to Auckland in 2019 with a fresh perspective, a completely different role, and her very own personal career BHAG.

There’s another part to Zoe’s story, and it’s a personal one. Zoe was born with a cleft palate and lip; she opens up with us about the health, mental, physical and social challenges she has faced with the condition, and how all of this has influenced or shaped her.

We cover so much in this episode, from luck to grief, first impressions to crises, puppies to toxic work cultures, the importance of looking after your mental health and so much more.

We love today’s episode and especially thank Zoe for her vulnerability and candor.

🧡🧃💛

Regrets are interesting things…. Some people have them, others don’t.

This is what @tiawoods101 had to say when we asked her if she had any regrets. Her answer was reflective, fair… honest! And this was her conclusion. She harbours no sense of regret regarding her career and feels that she’s doing exactly what she was put here to do. Amazing! 🫶🧡

What about you guys? Any regrets?

ICYMI we interviewed @maddieashby on @supergoodjuice____! Maddie was incredibly reflective, candid and she threw out a couple of gold one liners… like this one! 👆👆

Her analogy of the process final year law grads put themselves through to gain a post grad legal internship was #👩‍🍳💋

Uni and your 20’s can really fly by. A lot happens in those years and it can all feel like a bit of a whirlwind. In episode 5 of the Super Good Juice pod, we speak with Maddie Ashby @maddieashby who at nearly 32 yo, has recently survived her 20’s!

A self-described nerd, Mads took a relatively traditional post-high school route, heading to Otago University and becoming a lawyer, before joining ACC and carving out a sustainability function into her commercial relationships management role.

Maddie is one of those people that seem wise beyond their years, she has an enviable self-awareness that enables her to reflect and address some of those not so ideal habits, make tough but decisive career decisions, as well as the confidence to tackle the unknown.

We talk #regrets, identifying and showing gratitude to those #hiddenmentors, the solace she’s found in #hobbies, her #intuition and so much more!
