M Scizor EX Full Art
BREAKpoint
Ultra Rare • 120

This one’s a banger! M Scizor really looks like the Red Ranger, the red armor and sharp edges make it feel like it’s ready to throw hands.

The full art on this goes crazy too, gives the card a lot of presence.

Anyone else get Red Ranger vibes from this or is it just me? 😅

Gengar
BREAKthrough
Holo Rare • 60

This artwork feels different. Has that early 2000s skate graphic vibe, bold, gritty, and a little chaotic.

Not your typical Pokémon card, which is exactly why it stands out.

Mewtwo Lv.X
Diamond and Pearl Promos
Holo Rare • DP28

Lv.X cards have been coming back up lately, and this Mewtwo is one of the better ones from that era. Older promos like this don’t show up in good condition as much anymore, so people have been going back for them.

Back then, Lv.X cards weren’t just for collecting either, they were actually part of the game and played on top of your Pokémon.

Mewtwo just makes it hit even more. This one’s been getting more attention recently.

Zeraora VMAX
Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery
Ultra Rare • GG42/GG70

This one is really clean. Zeraora front and center with Togedemaru, Emolga, and Pachirisu all sleeping around it is a nice touch, gives the whole card a different vibe.

The yellow on this card stands out a lot too. It’s bright but still blends well with the scene, everything flows together.

Galarian Gallery did a great job with the artwork and this is a solid example of that.

Lucario VSTAR
Sword and Shield Promo
Promo • SWSH291

Lucario always brings that aura and this card shows it. Clean VSTAR promo that doesn’t get talked about enough.

Definitely feels underrated right now. Strong design, solid promo, and one of those cards that people are going to circle back to later.

Lowkey a must cop right now.

Delibird 1st Place
League and Championship Cards
Promo 038/149

This one has a cool story behind it. This Delibird was given out to players who placed first at official Pokémon League tournaments. It was not something you could pull from a pack, you actually had to win the event.

Cards like this are special because they came straight from competitive play. Not many were given out compared to regular promos, which makes them a really interesting piece from the tournament side of the Pokémon TCG.

Rayquaza EX (Shiny)
XY Promos
Promo • XY69

The colors on this card are crazy. The shiny black Rayquaza with the bright greens, pinks, and gold running through the artwork really makes it pop. It’s one of those cards that stands out right away when you see it.

This was a promo from the XY era when EX cards were a big part of the game, and shiny Rayquaza cards have always been a favorite with collectors.

Zapdos ex
SV: 151
Special Illustration Rare • 202/165

The artwork on this one is fire. You’ve got Zapdos front and center with Moltres and Articuno in the scene too, which makes it even better if you’re a fan of the original legendary birds.

SV 151 has been pumping up in popularity lately. A lot of collectors are getting geeked on the set because it brings back the original 151 with some really strong modern artwork.

This is easily one of the standout cards from the set.

Team Rocket’s Meowth
Destined Rivals
Illustration Rare • 203/182

The Illustration Rare cards have some of the best artwork in the newer sets, and this Meowth is a good example of that. Instead of the usual card layout, it’s more of a full scene that really lets the artwork stand out.

Cards like this are a big reason why Illustration Rares have become such a fun part of opening modern Pokémon sets.

‎M Gengar EX
XY Promos
Promo • XY166

One of the most recognizable Gengar cards from the XY era. The Mega Evolution artwork on this one is wild and the colors really stand out. It’s a promo that a lot of collectors remember from that time.

Mega Evolutions were a huge part of the XY era, and Gengar was easily one of the most popular ones they released. This card has always been a favorite for Gengar fans and still holds up as one of the cooler promos from that run.
