new comm sheet, who dis! i’ve been meaning to update my commission sheet for a while now and thankfully i did before my apple pencil decided to give up on me smh. i did manage to find an alternative for the time being (which is a stylus specifically designed for the switch. yes, the nintendo switch. gosh the things i do for art 🥲)
update: my apple pencil’s fixed! i can finally lock in 😈

we as a country got to experience a proper solar eclipse after almost…gosh 3 decades?! and this has resulted in a massive shortage in eclipse glasses. it was so bad that i settled for a welding helmet 😭 (funnily enough, it did its job very well!)

never in the history of humanity have i seen or experienced more peer pressure to use ai than in this current era. and the funny thing is, i never felt the need to use it. why would i willingly give up the ONE skill i’m actually decent at for a damn robot? the one skill that has brought me to people whom i only ever DREAMED of interacting with. and even if i did, it would NEVER be able to perfectly replicate the vision i have in my head because i’m one hell of a perfectionist! the people it has created make my incompetent self look insanely productive in comparison. what do you mean people forgot how to write simple emails or messages? what do you mean you need chatgpt to summarize every little thing instead of reading or watching whatever it is that you wanna consume? what do you mean there are actual people older than me with more life experiences than me who gave up their precious brains for temporary dopamine? it makes me extremely sad to see titans in the art industry go down this dark path. it’s like seeing angels lose their wings. from a talented armenian animator justifying ai as a “tool” to a legendary musician from wisconsin well known for his non-copyrighted tracks admitting to experimenting with suno almost a year ago. artists who i look up to seemingly give up their skills (which i always compare myself to so i get to their skill level someday) for the machine. and what do they gain from it? not much tbh. if anything it’s a net negative for them since they lose their own credibility because it shows they can’t make art from scratch anymore. my fellow artists, if the temptation gets strong, resist. resist with all your might. i know it can be hard sometimes, but you’re much better than some hallucinating chatbot. crush the snake of temptation. do not accept its fruit. you’re better than it.

• this has been in the works since SEPTEMBER and i’m still a day late and i’m so sorry. if i ever use some of these goobers in the future, i’ll definitely change their design a bit (and especially new york). i’ll admit, i plateaued half way through but that’s mainly because i was basing most of them on vibes 😭 oh and they’re in alphabetical order btw

this was a long time comin’! when i say i love this cover, i really mean i L-O-V-E it! this song is like eating a strawberry shortcake, basking in some sunshine during a breezy july day (i say that but i’ve yet to eat one surprisingly enough). i wanna eat this song, i wanna drink this song, i need this song iv dripped in my system. i just i AAAAAAAA you guys get the memo by now, it’s a goated song covered by a goated artist! 🫠💕💖💘
• also do you guys want to see more art in this painterly style? i’m not used to painting digitally but it’s pretty fun ngl 👀
