#throwback to May 19, 2022 with @hamiltonwestend @hamiltonmusical

Ever since #Hamilton was hyped many years ago for being a fresh & unusual historical #musical played with hiphop & rap music, I was intrigued. I’ve always wanted to see it live on Broadway or #Westend , because there is NOTHING that can replace the feeling of a live rendition.

And here we are, after the pandemic. I couldn’t believe it, i actually got to be in #TheRoomWhereItHappens ⭐️

Our seats couldn’t have been more perfect. First row #grandcircle , right in the middle. Getting to the section can feel very steep & high though 🌚

The show was absolutely breathtaking. There are songs that make you cry (the whole section dealing with the loss of their child). There are songs that make you laugh (looking at you, King George III🤴). The way the stage is designed is so unique with its turntable in the middle representing time passing (or going back in time). Thank you @linmaneuelmiranda for creating such an educational, emotional & entertaining musical.

1. The cast on stage
2. The magnificent #VictoriaPalaceTheatre
3. Yours truly 🤪
4. …with bestie @rainhards 🧢

Fun fact: I used to play in an English #theatre group in my city way too many years ago 😂 #theatrenerd

#throwback to May 18, 2022 with @unrealaltj

After the world had paused for two years, i finally got to tick off one of my favorite bands on my list!

It was my first indoor #concert after the pandemic. An absolutely amazing experience, being surrounded by other fans singing along together & dancing was incredible. The visuals & lights were impressive, too. At some point, i literally cried because i was so happy.

In the grand scheme of things, not being able to attend #livemusic #gigs amidst a pandemic might not be the worst thing, but let’s admit that for any music lover it was nothing short of a nightmare.

1. #DissolveMe (The tempo, the scales, the lyrics, the upbeat…this song just makes me happy!)
2. #Breezeblocks (The crowd went insane! The song itself is about a toxic relationship 🙄)
3. #3WW (“Love is just a button we pressed last night by the campfire”, “I just want to love you in my own language”…some of the most beautiful lines i’ve ever heard)
4. #EveryOtherFreckle (Probably the sexiest song ever made. It makes you feel…a certain way 😏)
5. #Matilda (If you’ve seen Léon: The Professional, you’ll get how mindblowing the lyrics are)
6. #Taro (One of the most beautiful songs in the world. It’s about the life & death of the war photographer couple Gerda Taro & Robert Capa.)
7. #HardDriveGold (A song i’m not usually keen on, but was amazing with the atmosphere of the concert!)
8. Yours truly 🤪 during #LeftHandFree (The least #AltJ song ever, but also catchy as hell!)

What i personally love about them are their unique, unusual song structures & their beautiful, abstract lyricism. By far one of the best bands there is. Thank you @unrealaltj for making songs which we can relate to & feel about (coming from someone who has difficulties expressing her emotions).

🌸 Just another old #cherryblossom shot from brighter days. 🌸

In reality: The temperature dropped below 10 C, it was raining, the #sky was grey the whole day and it was suuuper windy outside. 💨 In May.
