I’ll be at the NECA booth at SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON: booth #3545 Friday, July 24th
2-3pm

My gut tells me there will be giveaways for me to sign for NECA!
I won’t be signing other items at the booth during this time.
Please don’t show up with a stack of things to sign there.

SDCC update
I wanted to make a quick post stating I will be at San Diego Comic Con this year.
So far, I will have 4 appearances and panels across Friday and Saturday. I will be sharing details as we get closer to Wednesday.
Also this year I will have one exclusive I am selling. A print of the NECA side box art, measuring 12” X 32”
Limited to 100.

MASTERS of the UNIVERSE

It’s He-Man weekend
I will be releasing a signed run of 25, 11X17” prints of my recent Dark Horse MOTU cover.
I’ll also have a handful of signed copies of the comic itself. I added a little Skeletor head sketch, they will all vary a little.

Skeleton King V2

All this Masters of the Universe excitement has me thinking about Skeleton King and his roots.
I love collecting toy skulls and skeletons and among my favorite are Skeletor, but the actual inspiration for the Skeleton King’s design was from the 1972 Takara Japan toy line: Henshin Cyborg. Skeleton King is an homage to the villain, DokuroKing.
Here is my original design rough for the Japanese animators,
The 27A refers to the page notes on the corresponding script page. When I wasn’t in Tokyo, these notes were faxed 24 hours in advance of a meeting so they could be translated, photocopied and distributed out for the team. We thought that was high tech.
