Reed Silva had an outstanding offensive season across multiple teams and age levels, including competition up through 11U. Reed collected 63 hits in 121 at-bats over 186 plate appearances, producing a .521 batting average, .677 on-base percentage, .769 slugging percentage, and 1.446 OPS. His 63 hits included 16 doubles, four triples, and two home runs, giving him 22 extra-base hits and 93 total bases. He also scored 79 runs and drove in 45 runs.
Reed’s plate discipline was one of his strongest qualities. He drew 51 walks while striking out only 18 times, giving him nearly three walks for every strikeout and an average of only one strikeout every 10.3 plate appearances. His performance also improved as the season progressed. During the spring, he hit .463 with a 1.270 OPS. During the summer, he raised those numbers to a .593 batting average, .685 OBP, .981 slugging percentage, and 1.666 OPS.
Overall, Reed’s 2026 statistics show a consistent hitter who controls the strike zone, makes frequent contact, reaches base at an exceptional rate, and produces extra-base power. His ability to perform for different teams and against older competition demonstrates that his offensive production was not limited to one roster or one short stretch of games. #lhp #travelbaseballlife⚾️ #UTILITYLEFTY by @supersilva21
