Superstar Barbie Sweden 1982®⭐ Makeover

I bought her NRFB, she wore a fashion I designed for my dear Dubravka @forever.barbie.girl, i made another one for myself time ago, all in Royal Blue, a one-sleeved balloon jumpsuits, for her, now i create a gold belt. I cut her hair in layers in her contour face with bangs, like in the illustrations on the Barbie boxes from the 70's Disco era, i permed and style, i didn't put any product like hairspray, gel or anything else in her hair, she wears it natural. The wonderful jewels like Black Barbie but in blue were recreated to perfection by Paola @brightway_71 , she's a jewelry genius! 💍💎💙🤍
The ankle strap heels are from Mattel.
.
Now she's ready to dance all night long🕺🏼💿

The talent, beauty, and imagination we leave behind in the world never fade.
The sparkle is forever. ✨

Cher was his longest, most enduring and intimate creative collaboration, one of the most extraordinary partnerships in the history of fashion and music.

There is a quote from Cher that, to me, says it all:
“Bob changed my entire life.”

In Mackie’s official archive, Cher explains that without Bob, she would have been “a peacock without its feathers.”

Among the few designers who inspired my Barbie creations, Bob Mackie always held a special place in my heart, for his sparkle, disco movement, and magic 🤍

Con amor Gerardo🩷

-English-

Today, I celebrate the power, beauty, and resilience of women, as well as their capacity to reinvent history. This is my original vintage Black Barbie, the first to redefine the standards of beauty💜
I have styled her iconic afro and personally designed and hand-sewn this ensemble, a tribute to the Superstar Disco era, inspired by the fluidity of a 'Halston' silhouette and crafted from soft, era-authentic Superstar violet💜 fabrics.
To me, this is far more than just a dress,
Violet 💜 isn't merely a color, it's the historical banner of feminism, spirituality, and collective strength.
The butterflies 🦋 on her feminine gown symbolize metamorphosis and constant change.
The ethereal chiffon represents pure freedom—lightweight, like open wings ready for flight, almost like a for💪🏻 transformed into the air.
This is my homage to all women who transform the world through their mere presence, their unwavering courage, and their own inner light. Today is not just a day, it's a movement that we wear with pride.
Happy International Women’s Day to all! 💜

With love, Gerardo🩷
