Gold leaf transforms surfaces into works of art, and few do it better than master gilder Leah Beth Fishman. This week's feature highlights her recent work with SuperStrata, where she brought brilliance to a recessed ceiling and integrated lighting element, an array of floor-to-ceiling mullions, and a replica of Steinway's historic 1903 White House piano, originally made for President Theodore Roosevelt.

In the dining room of this Sherry-Netherland residence our artisan Patrick Shoemaker created a polished plaster finish for the walls and ceiling with the appearance of parchment, while Sylvie Bilger painted a white faux stone and blue-grey striped painted floor.
