Haagua is on the big screen at The Honolulu Surf Film Festival @honolulumuseum now through August 2 (Haagua showings July 10 & 18). For years I’ve been apart of risk management and ocean/ beach hazards….. I’ve learned about erosion and collapse but I ignored all the training but thank god I can still run ….on this day the Lord was with me 🙌🏽 Right where the group of us was standing a massive collapse covered exactly where we were standing so naturally I had to pose with the lil guy that almost got me and his big brothers that came and took our cooler 😂.

She made a lei all by herself 🥹 the ancestors are alive with this one. I am just soaking in all this community investment into making sure the next generation gets to feel Hawaiian no matter where we live.

Happy Birthday Uncle Buff … He was in his late 80s here and he told me he wanted to get back in the water after some years and he said “I gotta wet da gills” we made him a board I flew in and was able to help my hero get a few waves and I’ll cherish that feeling and all the moments I get to share with this legend. From legendary swells to Hokulea ! Aloha Uncle and Happy birthday
