Rebounding into a new life and taking it one day at a time. Movement has always been my medicine. Food before Pharma and when I’m feeling stressed, an impromptu cartwheel and kitchen dance off. I don’t know what the day is going to bring, but I know who brings the day. It’s been one wild, bumpy, crazy exciting and challenging year on all fronts but I’m grateful for another healthy lap around the sun, the message in the mess and the everyday blessings, miracles and lessons. Turning over a new leaf! Shift happens. We had a few bumps, twists and unexpected turns, but things are finally moving along, and movement is good. Sixty years ago, two hearts became one-and what a beautiful love story it’s been ever since. Mom and Dad you’ve shown us that true love isn’t just about romance, but about deep faith, family, teamwork, caring, sharing, laughter, friendship, sacrifice, trust, respect, loyalty, accountability and forgiveness. You’ve build not just a marriage, but an incredible legacy, one that continues to inspire everyone who knows you. Only the two of you can truly understand and know the depth and richness of your remarkable commitment. Today all who know you honor and celebrate your sixty years of sharing life and love. Shift happens! I asked my dear friend @jackegansurf the other day “Did you ever feel like you were thrown into the tumble cycle of life-into the abyss, on a wild safari, without a guide, or net, playing jumanji? 🤣 He laughed and replied “Yep- rolled the dice, fell through the ceiling, just waiting for the rhinos to stampede” 😂Life is always moving, changing and shifting into its next shape. The movement is natural and essential for our growth. Sometimes the shifts in our lives are gradual and begin to unfold slowly. Sometimes the shift happens in an instant, blindsided and can’t plan for it. Like the ever changing tides, we keep riding the next wave, trusting the process, giving it up to God, walking in blind faith, searching for the message in the mess while waiting for the Rhinos. Not sure when they’re coming but I’ll keep you posted🦏 lol 😂Big shout out to my loving Husband, family, incredible friends, and patients for all your love and supportive text & calls this entire week and big love bug Ladybug🦮with us every mile, every step of the way! With a full heart and deep gratitude, I write to share that we will be leaving our beautiful home in Shippan, CT and relocating to Charlotte, NC. This decision hasn’t come easily, as it means saying goodbye not only to the place I’ve loved for 8 phenomenal years, but to the incredible community that has supported me personally and professionally over the years. Shippan has been more than just a home- it’s been the foundation for meaningful friendships, unforgettable memories, and a supportive environment that allowed my dreams to grow. From building and nurturing my private physical therapy practice Reforming Rehab to launching SUP OM Yoga, I’ve had the privilege of serving a vibrant and inspiring community that I will always carry with me. To my patients and clients-thank you for trusting me with your care, your health and your fitness journeys. To my referring Physicians, colleagues and collaborators-thank you for your professional guidance, partnership, encouragement and shared vision to heal. And to our family, phenomenal neighbors, friends fur-friends, Mermaids worldwide-thank you for your friendship, laughter and endless adventures together on and off the water. The moments spent with you were the happiest times of ours.The next chapter is calling us in a new direction, but the roots we’ve planted here with all of you will never be forgotten. It’s time to ride the next wave but I’ll continue to take the values, lessons and connections I’ve gained here into everything I do moving forward. I will continue to conduct 1:1 virtual physical therapy treatment sessions and weekly pilates reformer and yoga classes. We’d love nothing more than to continue supporting one another across the miles or even better, catch a quick flight and experience SUP OM YOGA with us on Lake Wylie! We will miss you all beyond measure.
