With our new changes coming into place from 1st August, we wanted to take a moment to share who we are, what we stand for, and what we offer the handmade community! We are passionatly championimg the handmade community by creating markets that people love! A few changes are coming from 1st August as we continue to grow and make Support The Makers more sustainable. We’ve updated how we manage market applications, admin, and workshop enquiries to help everything run a little more smoothly. ⭐️Market applications are submitted through Eventaly. ⭐️We welcome creative workshops and interactive experiences at our events. ⭐️Monday is now our dedicated admin day, with Lauren supporting behind the scenes. ⭐️Please note, we’re unable to respond to Instagram or WhatsApp messages, so the best way to get in touch is by email. This is Jane at my very first Christmas market at @bellfieldporty back in 2018 trading under the @thevintagestall I already knew Jane before this as a fellow Porty parent, with children around the same age. She has always been an avid maker and a huge supporter of local creativity, and it was such a joy to see her take the leap from her career in the NHS to become the owner and curator of @velveteasel298 now filled with the most gorgeous artwork and beautiful creations from local artists and makers. Jane has still joined us at markets over the years, so when I was thinking about who to invite as a guest for our upcoming business workshop, Get Ready for Christmas, she was an obvious choice. Jane has a brilliant perspective to share. She knows what it’s like to be a maker selling at markets, and now, as a gallery owner and curator, she understands what catches a customer’s eye, what makes a product stand out and, importantly, what makes people buy.
