Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit Urban Fresh Farm and reconnect with my friend Guido, someone I’ve had the privilege of knowing for the past 13 years.

It was inspiring to see how much the farm has grown over the years. From certified organic fruits and vegetables to fresh eggs, quail eggs, honey, and incredible farm-fresh juices, everything reflects the passion, dedication, and hard work that goes into producing real food.

What makes this place even more special is that Urban Fresh Farm isn’t just home to Guido’s operation—it’s also a place where several other farmers from our farmers markets grow their crops. It’s a great example of how collaboration strengthens our local farming community.

Thank you, Guido, for the warm hospitality, the tour, and for continuing to be a champion of organic agriculture. Supporting local farmers means supporting healthier families, stronger communities, and a more sustainable future.

If you ever get the chance, take the time to visit a local farm. There’s nothing like seeing where your food truly comes from. 🌱🍓🥚🍯

Yesterday, we officially launched the MountainView Hospital Farmers Market, and what an amazing day it was!

The energy, the smiles, the conversations, and the overwhelming support from the community made this first market an incredible success. Seeing hospital staff, visitors, patients, families, and our local community come together to support small businesses and healthy living reminded us exactly why this vision was worth pursuing.

A sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU to:

What a day at UMC.

Grateful, energized, and proud to say today’s event was a true success. From the families who showed up, to the vendors who brought the energy, to every single moment of connection — it was powerful.

This wasn’t just an event… it was a full experience of community, care, and impact.

We had a wide range of resources available — health, educational, and agricultural support — all in one place. Families received free eye exams, free dental exams, and access to real, tangible care.

There were giveaways throughout the day — books, bike helmets, and essentials — making sure our youth and families left not just inspired, but supported.

This is what it looks like when a community shows up for its people.

Most importantly, the proceeds from today’s event will go toward supporting meaningful work through Supporting Arms, the UMC Foundation, and the Lulu Vegan Market — continuing to fuel initiatives that uplift, serve, and create opportunity.

We’re just getting started.

Children are the future — it starts with us.
