🍔 #MeetTheMaker: A family affair, Ronnie of @fatronnies grew up in the burger business. His grandmother, father, uncles and aunts all owned restaurants and he started working in his grandmother’s at just six years old - she was the first female union butcher in the country who owned a burger joint in Harlem. Ronnies favorite part about being a small business owner is getting to know the locals and repeat customers. On a first-name basis, getting familiar with their story and forming a bond puts a smile on his face every time they come in. Being a part of five generations of burger makers, it’s in his blood and he and his team work to provide a quality product every time. 🧶 #MeetTheMaker: Karelle of @krelwear got her start at the age of 16 when she took to her mother’s weaving loom and became fascinated with the art that eventually evolved into machine and hand knitting. Starting with colorful clothes in combinations of cotton, rayon and metallics, she started making wearable fabric that you could fashionably wear in the heat of Miami. From commissions to opening a warehouse space in Wynwood from 2001 to 2011, her fashion is experimental yet wearable and at one point she had over 50 retail accounts worldwide. Today, Karelle mainly caters to clients in-shop and online and she has her own industrial knitting machine in her shop, the only one like it in Florida.
